Was GSP really at 196 in a ploy to challenge Conor McG?

If so. Why didn't they have a contingency plan? Why not have Robbie Lawler in the arena and after the Conor/Diaz fight. Have them both meet in the cage and have GSP say he wants his belt back. Robbie vs GSP UFC 200.

Or was GSP simply at 196 just to watch some good fights? And that GSP is still retired. Won't fight at UFC 200. Hence why no announcement has been made.

Because I find it kind of weak for GSP to go there to call out a guy 2 divisions lower than he is. Maybe GSP wants no part of that lunatic Robbie Lawler. Robbie hits like a truck and supposedly GSP is suffering memory loss. Probably the last person he wants to face. While Conor. He has Dat featherweight power. No big deal. GSP will 50-45 Conor easily. While Robbie. He may actually hit GSP pretty damn hard.

GSP & friends ordered tickets already for Conor vs RDA. He felt it was a possible historical moment if Conor become the first man to hold 2 belts at the same time in the UFC. The fight got scrapped but he still had the tickets so he just showed up.

-Source is from some interview with GSP.

GSP-McGregor would have easily been the biggest fight in MMA history. GSP saw an exciting opportunity to line his pockets with 20+ million. Why the fuck not.

Ok then. If he was there just to see the fights regardless. Then that's that. I think GSP should stay retired.

No contingency plan ?

It's Conor By God Fucking McGregor.

Do you even UFC, bro ?

Gsp & the ufc did have a meeting, with gsp in town for what was suppose to be Conor Vs RDA.

Now, with Dana talkin' shit about Gsp, and UFC youtube chanel putting GSP loss Vs Serra , something tell me talk didn't go well.

Yea I have no idea... No one really does. Cause like... GSP doesn't go to a lot of events, but this wasn't just any event. It was a HUGE event and it featured one of his training partners at Tristar. He always comes out for Rory's fights, so maybe this was just him supporting Taleb and he just wasn't asked to be in the corner like he often is.

Well at least for the video it was a free fight to promote "Looking for a fight". Like I'm pretty sure that was in the title of it... So it's more about Serra than GSP because it's really his only win that a modern UFC would recognize/looks good. I imagine a lot of fans don't know or remember Chris Lytle, Din Thomas, Yves, etc.

I'm pretty sure he was just there to watch the event and people just started making assumptions.

If ufc wants to make this fight they will find some way to make it. Conor just got to win again.

HE WAS THERE TO ENJOY THE SHOW AND SUPPORT HIS TEAM MATE WHO WAS FIGHTING ERIC SILVA
