Probably not long. But I’d for sure support an income consideration and doing away with legacy admitting.

And I do not support AA in its current form (afaik, things may have changed its not my biggest topic I’m up on).

I support race-based AA over its absence entirely as it does touch material inequalities stemming from systemic oppression. But I think race-neutral income-based admissions would be both more effective and less corrosive. In it's current form, it provides too much assistance to wealthy persons.

I feel like in its current form it mostly benefits John Stamos’ daughter and Master P’s son but idk.

But I have strong opinions about the sorts of black olives that are most common in the United States. Ya know, the bland ones that you get on pizzas or at Subway. They lack both the olive taste and the brine taste. They're olives for people who don't like olives.

Ya gotta get the ones from the Middle Eastern food markets where you have to scoop them up into a bag and pay by weight. No jars or other bullshit.

Its funny how the right fights so hard for racist asian cartoons but they are like we respect asians
Its part of an ongoing effort by right wing groups to put a culture war wedge between Asians and other left leaning groups. The ivy league admissions debate is a perfect example: get Asians focused on AA so people can blame minorities instead of focusing on a bigger issue, like legacy admissions or systemic inequality in the education system.

They do the same shit to black people. They want to keep their deeply held racist beliefs but also get people to "Blexit" from the party.

Why they think "You're on a mental plantation" is a convincing argument is beyond me, but it goes to show how far they're willing to go to not change their behavior and still get their way.

What initially drew me to it was the design. I have that as a tattoo. But as a bonus it tastes good.

Isn't it a celtic knot?
I usually associate them with the maiden/mother/crone thing on purple hatchbacks festooned with dreamcatchers and "magick is real" stickers.

I posted these charts in the med school admissions thread several weeks back and, not surprisingly, got no responses.

Basically, the difference between a black applicant and an Asian or white applicant is small. Just 0.25 GPA points.

But despite this huuuuuuge difference, black students are still far underrepresented in med school students, and Asians overrepresented-

And when you take the gigantic differences in wealth between the two groups into account, is it really unfair that a few, say, dozen black kids across the country with 3.5 GPAs got into med school over a few Asians with 3.75??
