Probably been posted a million times but

Bing Crosby "White Christmas"

Savatage "Christmas Eve/ Sarajevo" (AKA Trans Siberian Orchestra)

(Before they were Trans Siberian Orchestra they were Savatage. They couldn't get this song played on the radio as the band Savatage when they originally released it in 1995 on their "Dead Winter Dead" album (because they were an 80's rock band) so when they released it years later as Trans Siberian Orchestra it became a huge hit.

Megadeth Christmas (still waiting for the full album)

Back around '94 I worked at a metal & hardcore label and floated the idea of having bands record x-mass songs while in the studio. Went over like a Led Zeppelin. :(

Used to love it, then hated it, but now the Boney M Christmas Album is a multi generational family tradition. We're an odd bunch. Feels strange hanging out with the whole family and not listening to this on Christmas. Favorite Christmas movie is Love Actually. Yeah, I know....gaaay. Nttawwt.

Love listening to the Bad Religion Christmas album this time of year

The Christmas episode from season 3 of South Park had some good ones, most notably "Christmas Time in Hell" and Garrison's "Merry F'n Christmas".

I always hated the Barenaked Ladies.....their music was always wack, they always played the shit out of them on the radio here (gotta get that Canadian content in) and I considered them an embarrassment because they're from my home town of Scarborough. But this is my favourite version of this Christmas song:

Here's some of the Christmas tunes that are playing at my house now, thanks to my better half:

Let's just say that last one isn't exactly politically correct lmao.

That's up there for me, but I'd say Bad Santa.

Song is Carol of the Bells or O Holy Night. Mariah Carey's is damned good too.
Bad Santa has lost some of its luster for me; but I must say that the first few times I saw it, I laughed harder than I did for any other Christmas movie.

It's still a top 5 for me, for sure.

So what are your top 5?

That's a tough one. I watch a ton of Christmas movies in December--probably 17 deep already this season.

Right now, I'd have to say Christmas Vacation, Bad Santa, A Christmas Story, Elf, Home Alone 2.

And yours?

Christmas movies in my family: the Grinch (the old cartoon), the old claymation Rudolph, Scrooged and Gremlins. All 4 of these usually get watched every Christmas season.

Good list. Bad Santa, Die Hard, Trading Places (does that count? Christmas time and sort of Christmas-y theme), A Christmas Story, It's a Wonderful Life. Elf and Christmas Vacation are close. I kind of thought of it on the spot so I could be overlooking some really good ones.

I'd count it, and I usually make it a point to watch movies like Trading Places, Die Hard, Gremlins, etc. in December (sometimes even Bateman Returns, depending on time constraints). They aren't my favorite Christmas movies per say; but I'll also watch them any other month of the year, whereas I won't watch movies like the Home Alones and The Santa Clauses outside of December.
