I seem to get less than I bet pretty often w/MMA. Take Condit bets out of the equation and I would be lifetime loser.

I'm just saying I think they will make them both - on the lines. I don't know why some fights show up that way.

That's because of the bookie's commission, sometimes called juice or vig, though those terms aren't technically correct.

If both are -110, that means the book is taking a 4.55% commission.

I actually thought he was in trouble after the 2nd round. Thought he was going to slow down and then those elbows were harsh. How the fuck do you land that hard a punch on a MW but have little luck at WW during your reign? Last time I feel like he was landing those was on Fitch.

He was noticeably slower and gassing during the 2nd but most definitely got his gas back in the 3rd.

i think GSP was a lot more relaxed and calm then we have seen him in a long while. GSP usually fought not to lose and tonight he looked like he fought to win.

He also had Freddie in his corner so he may have focused more on boxing over the past 4 years? I know hes trained a lot at wild card in the past but he looked more comfortable throwing hooks and counters.

Fundamentally, all the bookie should ever try to do is get equal exposure on both sides, and sit back and collect the vig. In practice it can be a bit of an art form, though algorithms can help a ton. Lots of times books will take positions on events, and don't sell off their extra exposure.

@Oblivian I think is one of the sharpest but doesn't bet high.

I want to know what Freddie said between the second and third. They said "all he's got is that right" and then Freddie told him something but I couldn't hear it.

I feel like I don't see good lines until every few events. If I did multiple bets every card, it would be a damn nightmare.

I feel like GSP is a tougher matchup stylistically for Whittaker than Bisping.
With Bisping his only major worry was the gas tank, otherwise it's two guys with a boxing heavy style, with Whittaker being faster and hitting harder.
That said, if he can beat Romero I think he can handle the takedowns over a slower, oversized GSP.
GSP sounded like he wanted to go back down though.
