Lol. This is all hilarious to me. That is exactly what any of the sane posters here would predict it to be.

Yeah Pwent believed that a lot of trumpites were only lashing because of provokation by the left, then they lashed at me over nothing and proved him wrong, that killed whatever original intent the conversation had (to discuss things without trolls and moderation) and just turned into an OT thread.

RhinoRush was also angry (i think because i insulted Putin) and they ganged on me on a flame war.

I got yellows because Rhino tried to reignite the flame war in a WR thread and i guess i forgot to tune down the language.

By the end it was all politically incorrect memes.

There's several seriously troubled right wing posters here who seem genuinely consumed by anger and are consistently belligerent. To blame that type of behavior on anybody else is simply another example of pathetic victimhood seeking.

It is crazy that they could not even behave in their own safe space.

I would say their credibility, if they ever had any, is completely gone after this.

Well considering Pwent tagged everyone on the forum in that group I didn't really consider that one of the private discussions in question. Again, where did I lie? Were they plotting and planning in that PM group you're describing? Did Pwent not start that group because of his frustration with the modding, leftwing autistic screeching, and deleting/merging of topics/threads? Did posters not make fun of left wing posters and their arguments in that group?

People said there were a few different ones, some with selectively chosen left wingers and some without any, and none with any moderation. Creating a controlled environment like that where you overwhelm yourself with likeminded support system and limit who you allow to dissent is exactly what a safe space is.

But they are so belligerent that they still could not keep themselves out of trouble. That really says a lot. Nobody is out to get these kids, they are just not capable of the basic decency necessary to stay within forum rules.

I don't care what anybody's political opinions are, I'm cool with anybody who shows some decency and a sense of dignity. Those traits are severely lacking in that group. It's time to grow up a bit for a lot of these guys.

Somebody from the forum actually said it began as a place to vent about the marginalization of right-wingers in the War Room by the Mods. That is exactly a textbook definition of a safe space.

There's no way to spin this into something that is not embarrassing, assuming you are all adults. I think people should just focus on making good points and supporting the points with good evidence. If they do that, they can do it in a public forum with rules.

Even the meme thread resembles a safe space, not to the same extent though. It's almost entirely right wing propaganda and if you point out that it's fake, they are like "Gosh stop ittttt, this is a meme thread!" Lol.

I've never put any thought into it. I've never used it, or had a reason to feel like I might need to. If somebody was to use it to block out certain opinions, that would be really lame.

I don't use the ignore on a permanent basis and the people I ignore is not always people I dislike or disagree with. Sometimes I even Ignore people I really like a lot.

I do that because there are times a thread gets divided into different posters having a good back to back conversations that is a bit OT but still kinda related however when their conversations have gone many pages I just can't read all their posts and its kinda time consuming to scroll over them so I will put them on ignore temporarily. And I will focus first on the OP and the Thread starters posts.

It would be really good if there can be an ignore thing on per thread basis.
