One of the funniest guys I know, my barber, has told me more than once that he'd sooner lose a friend than an opportunity to tell a joke.

Also yeah I get it. I wouldn't joke about it now, but topical humor isn't really my forte. I tell stories with a lot of wordplay.

But Jesus there are people threatening to fight each other all over the country over this. I've never seen anything like it.

Well most comics view things from a lens of hack vs non hack. This is crazy. I keep my mouth shut about stuff like this on social media and just tell jokes but it's wild.

You don't know about Ari? I fucking love the dude but he's controversial as shit. So this what I've heard, take it with a grain of salt because the comics I knew who went didn't want to talk about it.. but there was a secret naked roast battle in NYC (the girl who won pulled her set list out of her pussy and slowly unwrapped it from Saran wrap lol) and Ari walked up and threw a cup of his own piss in the other dudes face.

The dude wiped the piss off and said "I bet that's what it felt like when Comedy Central took your show away" and won.

Dude beat up Bobby Lee three different times over Natasha Leggario.

Saw him perform last month though, he's an amazing comic.

Prosecution was ready to go to court but the girl didn't want to testify.

They settled a civil suit out of court and Kobe issued a public apology saying at the time he thought she gave consent but that now he knows there was no consent

Last night, a WashPo reporter tweeted a link to a two-year-old story on the Kobe Bryant rape case. Dick move for sure, and she was rightfully grilled by Twitter folks. But then WashPo suspended her pending an investigation into whether her actions violated their social media policy. Her action as in....retweeting a legitimate article at an insensitive time. No allegations of lying or harassment or professional malpractice.

It didnt seem very credible to me and it kinda reeked of a money grab/extortion . In my opinion anyway

I think the girl had other guys pubes or cum or something in her panties and came across as a total whore. If I recall correctly she did have some internal bruising or tears or something but could just be Kobe has a giant hog and they were going hard. With no witnesses , and the girl having a credibility problem I dont know that as far as a criminal case there was anywhere for it to go but I think it settled out of court and she did get paid .

I thinks the reason is really because laughing at someone getting bullied is way better than being the butt of the "joke".
