There are companies, particularly start ups, that have an extremely casual culture and if you don’t curse or are offended by cursing you stand out and could be perceived as unable to fit in.

Those are the exceptions and not the rule, but I happen to work at a company like that. I think it’s also applicable to a lot of blue collar jobs like cops, fireman, construction workers etc..

one of the great things about living in ireland is the way the language spoken is full of fuck, gobshite, bollix, and jesus.....and nobody bats an eyelid, it transcends class and proffesions as well
