One of my biggest editorial pet peeves is when people jam pack their work with overly superfluous language.
I added the word 'outrely' in my post for that reason haha
Nobody uses outre anymore, it's not even in the phone autocorrect haha

Agreed. But they also had to get the forecasted deficit under $1.5T
Lol! As if deficits matter. Also, they could have idk pulled back a touch on lowering the corporate tax rate instead. It was clearly targeted imo.

is 22k vying against JVS and Madmick for the title of Master of Vernacular?

i coined that one, perhaps there's a better term for it. I couldn't think of anything w/ Syntax or Lexicon

This is a post that is actually offensive to me. Or I guess it shows that you don't know what you're reading.

This, while a GREAT scene in the movie sums up the issues with Joker on the ground level. He just does... random shit... cause he wants to do random shit.

When a villain's whole purpose is just chaos and mayhem it gets boring to me.

It's why even though I hate how they made Bane basically into a puppy dog following orders in the 3rd Nolan movie I prefer Bane to Joker.

Both Bane and Joker have the charisma to gain followers. But all of Joker's followers are bat fucking shit insane and just prone to mayhem. Bane's followers, all intelligent and they all can follow orders to a T and because of that are more dangerous in my eyes.

Bane and Scarecrow are my favorites personally, but Joker is classic too.

The original Bane iteration was cool to me: a juice head with an eidetic memory and a monk-like calm who had a classical education from a Jesuit priest. A worthy foe.
I have posted on sherdog while on my way to an accident scene.

In terms of $1.5T it had to do with Congressional rules. If it exceeded that amount they couldn't pass it with a simple majority.

And they were originally shooting for 15% for the corporate rate. They went to 21% because of the $1.5T cap.

I agree they made blue states pay the price but if there was no deficit cap they wouldn't have capped SALT deductions

What's worse is when someone's dictional reach exceeds his grasp, which is often the case with one of the posters mentioned.

Right, but isn’t that shitty? It’s bad enough to pass policy pretty strongly opposed by the left but their concession also targeted them (and their own living in those states, of course).

I can’t remember a policy that literally targeted the voters of the opposition political party.

Imagine if a Democrat came in and imposed a tax on farmers in red states to give tax breaks to boaters on the coasts or some equally stupid example? The right would explode!

This wasn’t as bad because like I said there’s no reason the government should provide tax benefits for buying expensive homes but cmon!!

(I know you agree I’m just ranting)

When you facepalm because explaining how confused somebody is will just confuse them more. What is the facepalm gif for that?

You get that a lot in lower level undergrad stuff. It's like... come on, Andy. I know you dug "cloying" straight out of teh googler and it really doesn't work in this half baked thesis statement about WW2.

I'm sensing taking two days for a food based road trip in my future.

So @Jack V Savage is your most hated poster here?
The two worst offenders that come to mind are Mick and Trots. Jack is good at breaking things down into simpler or more direct language. I know you were just going for a zinger because you associate him with you not understanding what you're reading, but it's not because of word choices.

Never forget to audaciously add that "not understanding what you are reading" projection

That train is never late! Mussolini says Rispetto
