War Room Lounge v94: I'd need to ice up when I wasn't pounding cakes in that kitchen

@Limbo Pete

Have you heard of this guy? If so thoughts?

I've been hearing people about him as a guy similar to Ian Bremmer.

Going to check out his books soon.

Geopolitical analyst, he’s worth following. Check out his old videos on his YT channel. They have aged well, IMO. Can’t remember exactly some of his predictions off the top of my head besides Alberta having issues with the central government in Canada but I remember they aged well.

That being said, always take geopolitical predictions with a grain of salt. I hate when people always comment on predictions that went wrong when a lot of the time people are talking about governments that have opaque political systems so you never have the full story or perhaps there is a language barrier.

you just have to look at the info and decide whether they’re making reasonable analysis.

No, I'm fine getting drunk on Keystone or Natural Light. Beer 30 was, in college, only put in coolers as house party beer because you could get 30 for $7.
Wow the hangovers must have been great

It would be cool if each can was numbered so you would know how many beer were left

29, 28 etc

I bet @Fuzzybabyducks would drink it

I've personally never noticed a relationship between hangovers and liquor quality tbh.

But it's really skunky and gross and famously has a sour taste of purple.

Have you ever had Beer 30?

As you know, I don't have refined tastes. My reputation for not caring about the quality of my food and drink is considerable here and IRL.

However, that is the ONE beer I'd turn down unless I was pretty damn drunk.
I have not had the pleasure.

Yup. Bunch of big ballers right there. I'm sure they are all planning on enlisting...

... to eat another burger.

Not their fault, they're needed here for the civil war in case Trump isn’t re-elected.

"I'm a civilian I don't know how to use any of this." -Mat Best
"IT DOESN'T MATTER!" -Rocco

The disclaimer though is Best and Rocco were Rangers and JT, the dude that calls Rocco the "fat one in the group", was in Air Force and wasn't a PJ but was the other MOS the Air Force has that is technically part of Special Operations. And gets ragged on, by everyone... including SWCC.

I think it's generally true there is some connection between quality and severity of hangovers. But everyone is different, same as with every other drug. Some people I know behave very differently on different types of liquor of equal strength/quality, others only puke when drinking certain things but could otherwise drink themselves into a coma, some who always get the bedspins.

Speaking for myself, my body seems to think Chianti is nectar of the gods while nearly all other wines suck shit, I invariably puke and fall asleep before I can get drunk enough to pass out, and I like almost everything that has alcohol in it.

And you say you're a drinker.

You are now required by honor to order it online, drink it, and get back to us.
I don't think you can get booze shipped in the US anymore. There was a great website I used that would ship booze to you for things you can't find easily in the US (stuff like the Hibiki and Suntory whiskys as an example) and they don't ship to the US anymore. :(

Well, all wine is only good for cooking not drinking so there's that.

I know when I drink gin/tonic I can have two singles and I'll have what feels like a hangover headache but not be tipsy. Don't get that with tequila or scotch/bourbon/whisky/rye and I wonder if it's the tonic water cause all those other types of booze I drink straight or like Jameson with ginger beer or ale.

Trolling and shitposting aside, i’m unironically smarter and more politically versed than you could ever dream of being and effortlessly pushed your shit in last night.

Tread lightly bud!
