@LogicalInsanity By the way, I watched Jason Goes to Hell a few days ago, since I'd never seen it and it was always the one installment I thought had a somewhat interesting concept.
Truthfully and without hyperbole, I might consider it the worst film I've ever seen. Truly contemptible and without any redeeming value. Not fun, not funny, not scary, and not well-made. More than that, it was just cruel, even, and it didn't even try to have its story make sense or tie together some of the obscenity. It made me think of Roger Ebert's no-stars review of I Spit on Your Grave when I watched it. Definitely the all-around worst F13 film I've seen, and not at all the diamond in the rough that I was hoping it would be.
.
Yea, there is very little redeeming qualities about those films. They are so simple, very basic, follow the same formula and all around trash.
you should go watch "Jason goes to Manhattan." fu*king comical.
When it comes to horror, I appreciate these factors:
1) scariness
2) creativity
3) coherent story/script
4) characters who aren't completely fu*king stupid.
I'm not into "torture porn" films (although I did enjoy the first Saw), or $hit like "I spit on your grave."
that film was banned in Korea when I was a kid. only a select few video stores had it.
