War Room Lounge v94: I'd need to ice up when I wasn't pounding cakes in that kitchen

@LogicalInsanity By the way, I watched Jason Goes to Hell a few days ago, since I'd never seen it and it was always the one installment I thought had a somewhat interesting concept.

Truthfully and without hyperbole, I might consider it the worst film I've ever seen. Truly contemptible and without any redeeming value. Not fun, not funny, not scary, and not well-made. More than that, it was just cruel, even, and it didn't even try to have its story make sense or tie together some of the obscenity. It made me think of Roger Ebert's no-stars review of I Spit on Your Grave when I watched it. Definitely the all-around worst F13 film I've seen, and not at all the diamond in the rough that I was hoping it would be.

.

Yea, there is very little redeeming qualities about those films. They are so simple, very basic, follow the same formula and all around trash.

you should go watch "Jason goes to Manhattan." fu*king comical.

When it comes to horror, I appreciate these factors:

1) scariness
2) creativity
3) coherent story/script
4) characters who aren't completely fu*king stupid.

I'm not into "torture porn" films (although I did enjoy the first Saw), or $hit like "I spit on your grave."

that film was banned in Korea when I was a kid. only a select few video stores had it.

EDIT:
I saw some YouTube vid for like a "Top 10 Reasons Rammstein has stayed so popular for 20 years" and #10, their last reason:
"They've been pissing your parents off for 20 years"

Awful taste, good execution trolling from Don Jr.

That stupid laser etching on the mag makes them like $15 more.

The lower comes from a great company but that lower itself is impractical as fuck

Spikes made the lower and I like them but their pistol grips are trash, get a BCM you hack

And get a better rail from like Daniel Defense (who is the contractor for like The Unit and shit) or Midwest at least, that thing has a massive circumference.

WHY THE FUCK ARE THERE RAIL PANELS THAT CLOSE TO THE UPPER RECEIVER ON THE HANDGUARD.

@Falsedawn

I miss any other critiques.

Oh, I thought it was you that liked the F13 franchise and was giving me shit for saying it sucked. I've seen JTM. Along with Jason X, I guess it's probably my favorite. Just because it's so silly and the urban setting is more tolerable than the same old country-bumpkin camp. But, really, I just think those movies are very, very bad.

I don't think I have criteria or a formula. The Exorcist is my favorite of all-time, and I think the third film is very good as well. Psycho II is my most underrated of all-time and also my pick for "best twists." I guess cinematographic innovation and tragic elements are what I most appreciate. I thought the first Paranormal Activity movie was really good on those fronts. The original (non-US) ending was something I really appreciated.

When I was in eighth grade, I was intrigued by what I read online about exploitation filmography. So I watched I Spit On Your Grave, expecting it to be a kind of cruel artwork (like Irreversible, which I think is one of the greatest films of all-time) or Salo (which I haven't seen myself). In reality....it was just a really bad movie.

I mean, I can find you 5 or 6 iranians in about 10 minutes who hate the guy. One of them was even put in prison during the green revolution. He's the most gangster nerd I've ever met.

But this is rather beside the point.
Oh yeah, I'm sure plenty do hate him but that's like trying to gauge the general popularity of Castro by polling the Mariel boatlift.

I'm not sure what the consensus is among the Iranian diaspora, but he was already a national hero before his death, and now he's a martyr for a nation to rally behind.

TBF, no one gets that lower to use for any practical application.

I need a lower for my pistol build. Probably just gonna get another Punisher one.

The aesthetic sexually arouses the MOLON LABE crowd. You know everyone over in the meme thread wants to copy this now. DJT JR is a tastemaker for these tacky times.

Most of your legit "Molon Labe" types buy the basic receivers and stuff and drop the money for their builds on the barrels and triggers.

I was speaking with some of persian friends recently and it really depends on when they left. The youngins from the 80's post war ''baby boom'' are liberal as fuck: drink, do drugs, premarital sex, the whole 9 yards, and detest anything to do with the regime. I have met some who don't feel that way, but the general trend is liberalism.

But they were telling me that they can't really get along with older iranians who left in the 1970's. That these people were far more conservative. Their take on it was that when you leave and there's no one else like you, you hold on to national and religious identity as it helps keep you who you are.

I know nothing about iranians in Iran, but I doubt I would respond in any way other than ''DEATH TO AMERICA'' in response to Soleimani's offing.

Man, children's video is the best grift on Youtube. You can make a killing with these braindead doodles while talented content creators can slave away for months and be lucky to reach 100k views.

Thanks for reminding me about paranormal activity. (the first one, only the first one)

I thought the suspense was very well built up, and when it comes to rating certain films, I extend some latitude in terms of budget and they are able to do with limited resources. which is why I appreciated Paranomal activity very much....and why I HATE big budget disasters shit films like :

The last Jedi
Alien: Covenant

and to use a more recent example, 6 Underground, the new michael bay film on Netflix.
complete trash. I stopped watching after the first 10 minutes.

Most of your legit "Molon Labe" types buy the basic receivers and stuff and drop the money for their builds on the barrels and triggers.

Well, how are you defining "Molon Labe" types to discern which are legit? This whole movement is a very recent social media phenomenon. And it's quite different from the "hands off my guns" NRA guys from decades previous. They wrap every bit of their identity around it and make sure everyone can see and hear them exercising their 2nd.

The ones you hear/make sure people see them "exercising their 2nd" usually have:
- No training
- Shoot like... 40 rounds a year
- Talk big about going to the range then find a way out of it all the time

The guys that are quiet, take friends shooting and shit are the one like legitimate dudes that actually give a fuck, most have training, most have stockpiles of ammo and run like 1000 rounds a month through their guns for muscle memory and shit.

Guys like this:

Don't spend money on flashy shit.

Just look how basic his pistol is:

He personally OWNS a lot of firearms but he also runs training classes and a lot of them he has as "loaners" for people that want to learn but maybe can't afford much past the class fee and ammo.

Like I know @Cubo de Sangre has a skull lower from Spikes but he has that for a toy/fun gun.

Braindead is right.

I know as a kid I'm sure I veg'd out watching TV but my roommates almost 4 year old, you turn something on on Netflix for her to watch (like that God fucking awful show True) and she sits there staring, barely blinking with her mouth half open. Her dad has to like snap his fingers in her face to try and get her attention to engage with her.

It's bad.

https://forums.sherdog.com/posts/157799593/@Lowmanproblems perhaps, but:

I wonder if anyone has noticed that Trump has just demonstrated he can cause a war whenever he wants so if you want to avoid it you better play nice. Call it the "Let the wookie win" scenario.

What ever other qualities Trump may lack, his tactical game is idiot-savant level.

There be some clowns in that thread.
This guy...
https://forums.sherdog.com/posts/157842027/ No source bullshit claim. Pissbelt. Doesn't allow himself to be tagged or got banned. Shertard trifecta.

my actual favorite part of Jason Takes Manhattan isn't what i previously alluded to, but he walks by this group of punk music looking ruffians/thugs (in NYC, but real talk it's clearly Vancouver or some other Canadian city) and he destroys their radio.

Then they go like 'hey man, wtf?' and try to approach him. Jason simply takes his hockey mask off and they all run hahahahahahaha

the way he kicks the radio is my favorite part, lost it
