Ha, I coincidentally left my phone at home today. Took a dump and it was like protected sex: not terrible, but you're just constantly thinking about how much better it could be with one minor changed detail.
"Taking a dump without your phone is like protected sex."

Is a pretty solid quote imo.

What little driving I've done across rural Missouri has indeed kinda sucked.

Unless you mean the city, which is kinda blasphemy really.

Just the drive 3 hours there 3 hours back, a little bit of work in between.

You misunderstand. You assume that people are rational, that they take in information, process it, and then come up with an opinion. You assume they want "good" news so they can make "good" opinions. My dude, you got it completely backwards: People have opinions and they seek sources that validate their opinions. The media is simply an industry and the only agenda they have is to make profits for their shareholders. The media is only as much a part of the problem as the incentives the that guide it.
Would you assume this level of unidirectionality from any other for-profit industry?

Yuck @ doing that in a day. We'll have to snag a beer or a burger sometime if you have a few hours here.

I'll give you a shout if I get an over night up there.

I don't think they've done worse than usual over that period. And it seems to me that stuff like the ridiculous overplaying of Clinton's non-criminal violation of State Department email-security protocols (and being played by bad-faith actors exploiting bothsidesism) was much more of a threat than occasional minor errors.

Anyway, I'm not convinced that the media can do anything internally to fix the problem.
Well, the CBC posts a link to their standards and practices page along with contact info following their articles. So, there's that.

I think jagermeister tastes nasty, but I still like to drink a lot of it.

I think its fucked that most state wont let liquor be shipped to your door, yet wine is ok to have shipped to you.(in most states)

I’ll never understand liquor laws in North America. They are retarded.

Except for Quebec, that’s the one thing the French do right. Drinking at 18 and they have bulk liquor stores. Show up with a 4 litre jug, full it up with vodka.

I inserted it in at the last minute because I thought it was a funny amplifier to "delete your account" (in a broader, more-serious post) because it would be atypical from me. I don't think it was a big deal or anything other than it being misread (oh, and apparently his wife reads the group, too, so that's another issue). It's weird that we're talking about it over a year later.

I would have said
“Benoit yourself” but then I would be really dating myself here.
