are you injured?
I ain't lifted seriously in about 3 years and stopped because I hyper extended my knee bad enough doctors though I blew it out and tore the meniscus.

So... I'm basically starting over.

Starting over sucks, but after the first month goes by and you get over the mental dissapointment in how week you've gotten it can be fun. If you've had it before, the strength comes back quickly I've found.

Successfully won an argument with a branch manager at the crappy YMCA I lift at about deadlifting tho. Apparently against corporate policy because of floor damage (tho they have bumper plates), I said ok I understand but I was told deadlifting was allowed when I toured here and I've been doing it for 6 months and this is the first I've heard of it. I'd like some of my money back since the first 4 months are more expensive til a loyalty discount kicks in. She agreed if I would be just a bit more mindful about setting weights down carefully :) maybe yesterday was just an off day for me and 375 was coming down more than I realized. I'm normally really good about coming down gently.

? Not really. I make right around 100k, no way I could afford a 300k home

180k is probably the upper of my ability to do. So in des Moines there, I'd be stuck in renting purgatory unable to build any wealth for myself.

Des Moines actually has a shortage of homes, so this isn't a roundabout way to help people selling their homes so that someone like me would buy an existing home for my budget. There's not enough of those available anyways.

We know how poor you are, you cant even afford plats.:D

I was at 3 plates of 45 to a side for reps on squats when I got hurt (doing something that wasn't squats). So it was a bit sad at first struggling with just a single 45 to a side. BUT, alreayd up near having 185lbs for squats so I'm getting there.

Chernobyl is better than Game of Thrones season 5-8.

Yeah, I don't think that's even close, and GOT S5 is seriously underrated and much better than S6-8. Chernobyl gets poor scores for historical accuracy, but flying colors everywhere else.

I'd go:

1. Chernobyl
2. Breaking Bad S4
3. The Wire S4
4. Game of Thrones S4
5. Game of Thrones S3
6. Breaking Bad S2
7. The Americans S4
8. Breaking Bad S3
9. The Wire S3
10. The Americans S3

@JDragon - polish hit my argument spot on. The minimum size of the house is the biggest driver of the cost. Seems nothing more than a deliberate attempt by the city to make it so only rich (upper middle class) people can move in and force the middle and lower middle class out.

Yeah, it's by far the best of the series. Season 4 is great. Season 3 is very good. Seasons 1 and 5 are good. Season 2 is pretty bad and has easily the worst acting of the series.

I personally think Season 2 is better than 5. 5 they lost one of their main writers and then that serial killer shtick McNulty pulls... I really think they didn't lose the writer they don't have the series go out with something as goofy as that.

2 just feels super detached from everything else going on until you go back and re-watch it and realize it's there to show you more of the police corruption as the whole reason the fucking detail starts is cause Valczech is a douchecanoe.

If anything, Season 6 is underrated. Season 5 is a dumpster fire.

Someone has to explain why a percentage of people think Booker did good last night. His name is being mentioned behind Tulsi and Biden. Booker didn't get demolished like Kamala, but he was as cheesy, fake, and pandering as ever. Peak form Booker. Every time he was called it was a well-spoken version of this to start off-

-We must remember the real enemy Donald Trump, don't forget this evil thing he does. That's the problem right now.
-This is what they want, us fighting each other but we need to remember to stick together. We're a team.
-I agree with *someone*, now let me tell you why Trump is worse than anyone and the person I agree with and myself both have different but better solutions.

That's it. That was his entire substance outside of a 1v1 against Biden in which he got pwned. I'm just not seeing him looking good last night other than generic well-spoken talking points and massive cheese.

Mainly because he was in 3rd place going into the debate, he put up a solid performance, and Kamala got slaughtered.

Biden was already first and Tulsi will likely remain a fringe candidate no matter how much she lathers up her cleavage.

I missed the debate... are there cliffs in the debate thread and if not can I get some?

Bout how did he put up a solid performance? He talked about nothing, and was one notch away from "peace and love, orange man bad". Warren, Biden, Tulsi, Mayor Pete. Those were solid performances. Booker I didn't see anything close to that.
Genuinely curious, but how was Tulsi a good performance. Outside of attacking Harris I already cannot remember anything she said.

It's easily the best season out of the bad seasons.

Yikes. Blistering take.

Season 5 had Hardhome and The Gift, two of the best episodes of the series. Season 6 had "No One," which is easily the worst episode of the series up to that point, with the asinine Arya revenge sequence and cheesy siege. Only good things that Season 6 had were "The Door," which still hinged on a silly premise, and "Battle of the Bastards" which hinged on Jon Snow being a moron and then getting magically saved by deux ex machina.
