That's the exact AV the guy has! Woa. Crazy how openly proud some people can be about being racist.

Edit: ""Clown world" was a phrase used in the subculture from about 2015 - that the US was a "clown country" because it didn't actually murder everyone who wasn't white."

Wtf? How is dude allowed to use this AV?

Here's the description from a more-sympathetic source:

Another serious-not-serious-serious promotion of white supremacy. A more explicitly postmodern variation of The Big Lie, in my opinion. And I think half-innocent younger people get caught up in this gray-area-not-gray-area by the hundreds every day, which is exactly the goal of the recruiters.

So I hear that the guy with a clown frog AV is likely racist because a clown frog is a racist symbol? Someone's gonna have to enlighten me on that one.
Man, that is a whole 30 minute episode of know your meme to explain that one. The tl;dr version:
The Pepe frog meme was adopted by 4 Chan /pol/ trolls
The meme carried over to reddit right wing forums
One sub forum spin off of was called Clown World, which featured a clown Pepe making thinly veiled racist jokes.
The meta behind it was that it was supposed to be ironic. For instance, a meme about a clown hanging out with long nose “frens” would be thinly coded antisemetic joke, but abstract enough where they could claim it’s just a frog hanging out with a greedy toucan. The idea was to gaslight sjws.
Eventually, the sub forum was taken over by actual racist shitheads and the ironic tone became sincere racism.

Honkler has also become associated with the so called "black pill", a form of absurdist nihilism in which reality itself is portrayed as a cosmic joke.

Speaking of Joe Thomas from earlier, his backup at Wisconsin became a Scout Sniper and then formed Team Rubicon after the Haitian earthquake. #CoolStory

So, one thing that you should never do is call the symbol actually racist. That's the ''trap.'' The symbol itself is a frog with a clown wig. It's absurd and meant to be. So that when you call it a racist symbol people can call you a retard for thinking that a frog with a clown wig is ''racist.'' This is one of its functions. The absurdity creates a thin veil of plausible deniability that ''clown world'' is about how ''everything is racist now'' and nothing has any meaning anymore. The other function is, well

Racists are using it to unironically communicate racist meanings (white separatism and the ethnostate for example), and smuggle them in under this veil of absurdity, but that doesn't make the symbol ''racist'' anymore than the number 1488.

I explained this to Inga and that guy went REEEEEEEE.

There was once a time when all this pepe, whole milk, ok symbol nonsense (this is maybe the 6th or 7th time the alt right has done something like this) was ''ironic.'' But then kekistanis started shooting people. The remaining people who think it's just a joke are thicker than molasses in january.

It's pretty nonsensical for anyone to argue that it's not a racist symbol because the symbol itself doesn't have any inherently racist content. That's not how symbolism works. Including language. Outside of onomatopoeia it's not as if language has inherent meaning, it's a product of use.
As justifications go that's poor sophistry, so if someone is going to credit it really you're dealing with wilful ignorance.

It is absolutely nonsensical and that's the point. These point of these ideas is not to make sense, it's to convince, and those are two different things: take for example the proof that likely live in a computer simulation. It makes sense but it doesn't convince hardly anyone. Importantly, one is beholden to the rules of argumentation, the other is absolutely not.

Of course this only works on certain people but they are numerous enough that we have to engage with them, IMO. It's important to acknowledge that the ignorance in question here may be deeper seeded than will.

Man, so it's like the racist but technically not racist symbol that I can be racist while not being racist, but letting you know I'm racist icon lol.

It has many functions and that's one of them. The other is to make people say ''ThIs fRoG iS LiTeRaLlY rAcIsT,'' which people on the right can quote later to the uninitiated as evidence that ''the left calls everything racist.'' Then when this person goes on and meets someone saying that something is racist they say ''liberals like you say everything is racist, for example, cartoon frogs and whole milk, stfu snowflake.'' It's theatre.

I think the absurdity of it hinged on the fact that they weren't actually using the symbols they co-opted, be it Pepe, drinking milk or the OK gesture, as racist symbols. Which was sustainable as parody up until they actually were.
Of course they aren't going to be able to co-opt just anything, the OK gesture and milk will fail due to pervasiveness (and the fact that joking about lactose tolerance does in fact have meaning).
Despite Pepe being a fairly common online meme, the use by the alt-right eclipsed that in social recognition. Hence why Furie killed the character. Also the segregation of the original white nationalist alt-right from the "alt-lite" and general online shitposters of the big tent "alt-right" as coined on Breitbart, means they can't quibble about meanings as much anymore. The neo-nazis posting pepe memes with blatantly racist content, along with more banal stuff like "kek" imitations of the nazi flag, really have nothing to hide behind. Especially following events like the massacre in Christchurch.

Sure, to people who actually know the story this is all clear. But the first time they tried such a thing was back in 2015 that I can remember, and we're still explaining the tactic to people on the internet every time it goes through a new iteration. Admittedly, the last time I had to explain it only two fucking dummy trolls, one of whom is rocking the honkler av, were still trying to live the irony.

But this is also only part of the strategy: ridiculizing their opponents. But there are other angles. I don't know if you've noticed it but before we had like...one guy in the WR talking about JP Rushton's ''scientific racism'' but now that shit is everywhere. This is another angle of it. ''Liberals say everything's racist, even the pride flag now lmao, have you read the bell curve?'' Take as another example all those crime Twitter feeds that palis likely got banned for. This abuses the ''what you see is all there is'' bias to create a feeling. This is ''red pilling.'' Importantly the strategy is to create a feeling and work its way up to thoughts. This is why their thoughts are often so scattered: they're not the genesis or the point of the movement, they're in defence of something in an ad hoc ''at all costs'' sense.

This is all meant to prey on people whose ''system 2'' is particularly lazy for whatever reason.

Well yeah, they use social media (including forums) as a platform for their propaganda.
Hence why we've specifically said Sherdog will not be used in that fashion and acted accordingly.
Anyone brain dead enough to still be mindlessly cut and pasting that stuff without bigoted intent is beyond hope and going to be shit canned with the rest of them I'm afraid.

Yeah, they're my favorite animal (followed by elephants). I believe it's debated as to whether they are technically big cats. But, yeah, I'm actually surprised that you didn't know that (about cheetahs being helped by dogs) given that you live in St. Louis. At the St. Louis Zoo, the cheetahs (1) had to be moved away from the lions and other big cats because being able to hear them gave them anxiety, and (2) have to have dogs to help them with their anxiety or else they won't breed.

They literally have therapy dogs to help them fuck.

Also, if they still have it, I highly recommend the "behind the scenes" tour of the cheetahs at the Zoo. It's only like $55. You don't get to like personally interact with them like with the penguin exhibit, but you do get to be much closer and see them run around and play and shit.

Cheetahs are not considered a "big cat." The easiest way to tell is if a feline species can "roar" they are considered part of the "big cat" genus (panthera). This would be tigers, lions, jaguars, leopards, and snow leopards.

Huh, I never knew they didn't roar. They chirp, and purr as it turns out.

Yea. It really takes away some of the fear. I’m sure one could still mess me up but hearing them sound like a bird is hilarious.

Cmon that's not true. It's a picture linked to racists but that is a joke, there is no source.

Hm, I shouldn't have clicked that link, now I'm reading about the big black hoax and seeing pictures of young virile black men.

Pepe is out of the box, even Koreans love him now. The clown pepe is popular in Brazil now too, totally unrelated to the racists just as something funny, everyday I receive some clown pepe gif throwing a pie at me.
