I never liked the Lion King anyway. Why didn't Scar just kill Simba instead of exiling him and then sending those poor hyenas after him? That's what a real lion would've done anyway.

Also, the circle of life where everything has a place, except those fucking hyenas they can fuck right off into a ghetto.

Yeah, I never liked that movie either. It was just stupid. Ain't a bunch of gazelles going to bow down to someone who is going to try to eat them.
It's not like they're Republican voters.

Disney movies imo:
1. Sleeping Beauty
2. Beauty and the Beast
3. 101 Dalmations
4. The Rescuers
5. Snow White
6. Cinderella
7. Pocahontas
8. The Aristocats
9. The Sword in the Stone
10. The Little Mermaid
11. Mulan
12. Rescuers Down Under
13. Aladdin
14. Great Mouse Detective
15. Lion King

Lion King is #15 at best.

I'm afraid the offspring would get disadvantaged later in life

It's not Disney, but I watchedthe Land before Time a million times as a kid. That's still my favorite. It's probably nostalgia, I watched the original French dub but my god it makes me cry.

tears of a macho

I find the Lion King very boring with too much singing. I don't know why the hyenas have to live in exile like that, they don't do that much wrong imo except attack Lions but I thought that was the circle of life??? Why does Musafa exclude an entire species from his kingdom?
More than that, why the fuck are all the gazelle and zebra celebrating Simba's birth at the beginning of the movie? He's gonna eat you some day!

That lion is fine as hell, playa.

Don't pretend you wouldn't get all up in her circle of life.
lol, I remember a Mayberry thread that asked people to vote for the hottest disney princess. Nala was one of the options. Some guy replied along the lines of "I want to fuck (Nala) so bad"

It's monarchy worship IMO.

You even ranked Aladdin and Pocahontas higher than the Lion King, that's harsh. Normally I dislike the comedy relief characters in Disney movies but in Aladdin its the opposite. Genie, Abu, the rug, and Hyago are the saving grace of the film while the human characters mostly suck.

Haven't seen Pocahontas in a while, I've wanted to give it a rewatch because of how gorgeous the art style is for the film but at the same time I doubt I have patience for a 90s white savior movie nowadays.

To be fair Pocahontas and Jasmine are probably the most appealing princesses in terms of designs but its probably not an accident that two of the only non-white princesses are also dressed in the most revealing outfits.

Yeah, Land Before Time was my favorite too, along with 101 Dalmations (I didn't appreciate BATB and SB until I was older, especially with the latter).

My sister would leave the room any time it came on because it would make them cry. Honestly, I think it's sadder as an adult than as a child.

Pocahontas is probably #2 in Disney history to Sleeping Beauty in terms of animation quality. I'm not crazy about Aladdin or the Lion King.

I never liked the Genie trope tbh. Here's a cool video on how Aladdin/Robin William's casting as Genie ruined Disney movies by shifting investment away from animation and talented voice actors and to high-priced celebrity voices.

I didn't have it/see it as a kid. Or, if I did, it didn't hold my attention. I know that was the case with Fox & the Hound.

First off, they're pretty much all teenagers.

Second, for sure its Jasmine.

I've seen that video before and I remember when someone(you?) posted it in a previous Lounge thread. I see the point but I think that trope worked in Aladdin in a way that it didn't in subsequent films.

Honestly maybe the right wingers have a point about this place, we're grown men discussing Disney films.

BATB, SB? No idea what that is.

Land before time ignited a lifelong interest in geology and paleontology. It has an amazing beginning.
