To be fair, I did skip the paragraph long text I sent this morning trying to explain to my wife how to put the correct amount of air in her tire at a gas station. I failed a bit ago as a husband that she somehow doesn't know a tire pressure guage works.

But this one was staring at me one conversation down from last night

Have you seen the machines that have digital readouts and automatic fillers for tire pressure? There are two displays: one that has the current pressure and the other that you set to what you want it to be. You just push the start button, and it fills until the first display matches the second. When I was a young adult, all the gas stations in my area had that, but I haven't seen one in a while.

Kwik Trip's in wisconsin have those, but there's no Kwik trips in Illinois which is a drag as they're by far the best gas station/convinience store. She was used to those (they are definitely nice), but when faced with just a hose, she had no idea how to know when to stop filling with air. So I had to tell her to get the little slide out guage I stuck in her glovebox and explain how it worked.

Edit: this is the Momoa "dad bod" pic? It's literally him maybe 10 pounds up and not flexing or in designed lighting like it is on set. Guy is like a fighter that stays in shape but only cuts down when he needs to for roles

I get the feeling that they pretend to be stupid occasionally for two purposes. The first is to make you feel useful, sending long paragraphs explaining how to use a tire pressure guage. The second is so that they don't end up doing everything.

Plus Willie Horton, which would seem too overt even for Trump.

In '92, Bill used Carter's strategy of winking at the Southerners who aren't committed to the GOP's economic agenda. Part of what caused the national freakout over Obama that led to Trump was the idea that he won without those voters.

Oh yeah, they ran that play hard. It made even less sense then, because we were talking about not just the Bush corporate fortune but the guy who was chief spy of the country and the vice president. You can't possibly get more elitist than that, the family were aristocrats ffs. I was just a little kid but I was campaigning for Dukakis because of the Republican proposal to privatize the USPS. I forget about that sometimes. We met some of Bush's people and they were assholes.
