"Relax plebs, we need to inundate and ameliorate our values and positions before we can discuss what I actually believe in, and want to achieve."
It's okay for April 2019, but he needs to be up to speed by June 26th (1st debate).

Pete Buttegeig is a total can. The shit he just said on the CNN Town Hall when asked about when he'd have a policy platform was atrocious.

"I don't think we should drown the voters in minutiae until we've had a chance to vindicate our values."

{<doc}

This really grinds my gears in combination with his statement that the reason *why* he's running for president is that he as a person fits the needs of the country right now.

That's definitely a Jimmy Fallon answer. I need Mayor Pete to say that he's not ready because he is working on his platform, and is using some of that sweet donor money to take a hard look at data and come up with ideas.

He makes a good point that policy bombardment takes away from how everyday people can identify with the candidates. He definitely shouldve said that he will outline his policy soon, though. It was a softball question

He also said this today:

“I think the sense of anger and disaffection that comes from seeing that the numbers are fine, like unemployment’s low, like all that, like you said GDP is growing and yet a lot of neighborhoods and families are living like this recovery never even happened,” the 37-year-old told high school students in Nashua, N.H.

“It just kind of turns you against the system in general and then you’re more likely to want to vote to blow up the system, which could lead you to somebody like Bernie and it could lead you to somebody like Trump. I think that’s how we got where we are.”

You're gonna hate me, but I respect him for making that comparison, because most democrats don't have the balls to. He's right, there is a rising dissatisfaction and populism on the left, who aren't feeling the strong economy, and it mirrors what happened on the right. It's less bad than the Trump-Republican thing (which is a national crisis) but the idea of blowing up the system with tantrum votes is gaining momentum and pushing people toward the extremes. And Bernie, for all his good, is an extreme within the party. He could have said it with the caveat that Bernie > Trump, but he's also competing and looking to clear some space for people who aren't ready to go full Sanders, so I don't blame him.

And one of the few policy issues Buttigieg has spoken about is raising taxes on wealth, which is meant to address this problem.

This is actually the best attack that can be made on Bernie in the primary. Though him and Trump are different policy wise, they both can be coined as populists so it’s a clever way to relate the two together while contrasting yourself from both.

It's not that "most democrats don't have the balls to." It's that it's a patently asinine comparison and statement. Sanders' policies are not at odds with US institutions. No one can point to a single thing that Sanders has said that amounts to "blowing up the system" other than maybe his advocacy for single payer healthcare, which hardly encompasses the entirety of our government.

Damn. Shots fired. Wasn't expecting that one.

Pete did alright. He's sharp, I can see now why he's gotten so much attention. But damn, his body language is awkward at times. Like Ricky Bobby doesn't know where to put his hands awkward.

Blowing up the "Establishment" though for sure. And there are a million reasons it can be called an unfair comparison, I get that.

Try cnn.com.

His sleeves were half ass rolled up. They was part of the problem. They should’ve rolled it tighter

Try cnn.com.
They told me to watch for 9 minutes of preview time and that after that I could go fuck my own freeloading ass with Amy Klobuchar's clumsiest intern. Seems rude, really.

If you google watch cnn online, something always shows up. I don’t even think they try to stop streams. I once was interested in trying to get a cnn subscription when I watched cable news but they have the dumb setup where you needed a cable subscription. I’m assuming that may have changed or will change soon but some of these networks are damn annoying they don’t have a model yet where I can throw a few dollars a month at them and watch. Like I would’ve got CnnGo for $5 a month if it had been there three years ago.

lol that Harvard student asking Klobuchar about the school lunches really threw one high and tight.

Also, it really bothers me that Klobuchar wasn't pressed on her BDS bill vote. I don't get how we just can't get a fucking answer out of any of the centrist Democrats on that issue.
