I could never do it, I hate casinos so much. What a grotesque institution, they just openly prey on people's weaknesses and we all watch as people get victimized over and over again. I would never support such evil even if it meant I could get a valley full of gold out of it.

couldn't agree more.

what's worse is taht many of them charter busses to and from Rest and old folk homes.

@Lord Coke

you planning on doing a thread about the 2nd amendment case being taken up at SCOTUS?

Go ahead I've been dealing with it in real life all day. I gotten woken up by a reporter wanting a comment and its been stuff about it every since.

Here is my two cents. Its good but its not great. The supreme court rewrote what the plaintiffs presented as the question for the court. And have allowed itself to answer a much more narrow question. The plaintiffs want everyone to be able to carry. The question the court rewrote asks whether the plaintiffs who all have heightened need have had their rights violated by not being able to carry. That gives the court an out to say if you have a stalker or carry lots of money you definitely can carry and everyone else well answer down the road.

While I think I agree with this, and stated early on that this would be amazing for the most potential money etc, there is a part of you that has to leave humanity behind. There will be no one like you, and you will watch family and friends die all around you. There is definite cons to the immortality choice.

Those people are going to die regardless.... I want to live damnit!

"Letters to the Unabomber" should have been the title, imo

As for the question, immortality and it's not even close. That solves all problems. Wanna be a millionaire? Work your shitty job for 100 years and you got it.

You got time to learn everything, try everything, screw everything.

Why would you work if you were immortal? Just rob banks and eat bullets.

Ok but cheating them out of their money is surely not supporting them.

What is your opinion on legalizing drugs?

Nutless wonders.

Heightened need makes no sense. The government can either outlaw carry or it can't. The notion that the 2nd suggests some nuance in this regard is retarded.

Because it doesn't say you have super strength or can teleport etc. Eventually, you get cornered by multiple swat teams and dragged into a prison where they lock you behind reinforced walls you can't break.

But you're immortal, and prisons have rules. Just pick your shot. Worst thing that happens, is that they put you back in prison until another opportunity arises. You're eventually gonna win. You're immortal.

Imagine spending like 20 years in jail bored out of your mind.

Imagine being immortal, where 20 years is like 20 seconds. I figure if you were immortal, you'd be very familiar with time sensitive compromise that would not apply to yourself.

I'm still patronizing the establishment, plus the moral atmosphere of such places are inherently corrosive so I'd rather avoid them.
What is your opinion on legalizing drugs?
The legal regime should strongly discourage the public consumption of drugs as well as its normalization but the state should not reach into the private abodes of citizens to prevent drug use. That can be achieved in a de jure manner under legalization or under prohibition in a de facto way and it doesn't really matter that much to me which route is taken though I suppose I lean somewhat towards legalization.
