You'd need to establish yourself in a manner that doesn't allow people to consider you a false prophet. Hmmm if this immortal character can’t be killed you also won’t have to breathe and the underwater thing is a wash. Hell you could even potentially go into space without a space suit.

Ehhhhhhh, not dying and not feeling the discomfort of your circumstances are two totally different things. Being swept into the ocean would be game over, you'd basically drown forever unless you pulled the plug.

I really should have specified it's an anti age thing. But then again, if you're immortal I guess mortal danger couldn't harm you really.

Well, I would want to think being immortal doesn't mean being as smart or smarter than me, but I wouldn't take it for granted. So yeah, a long wait indeed.
