I think the people who really struggle with opiates are the people who react to them like an upper. Used to munch on percs and get shit done.

It's definitely a different strokes for different folks sort of situation. The one and only time I was in the hospital for any length of time, they gave me a scrip for month's worth of dilaudid. I didn't need anything that strong so I could have done pretty much anything I wanted with them. I never found myself getting high off them.

I think that Kamala's record as a DA was very mixed and that at times she avoided dealing with cases of police brutality. She pushed for reform sometimes but other times ignored calls for justice, and was mixed on the death penalty. It's obvious to say that being a DA will lead to a smattering of ups and downs if you want to navigate the job successfully but I will say you could label some of her policies at that time as racist or brutal. I don't think Kamala is a racist, and her policy now isn't. That's why I voted for her.
