Tbh if he drinks jack neat you probably can't fuck up as long as it doesn't come in plastic. Jack isn't bad, but it's not really a high-end sipping whiskey.

Corona is a lighter beer. He might like some of the Brooklyn lagers. Hard to make a recommendation on this for the reason Irish thug said-premium beers are mostly regionally distributed right now.

Usually stouts amd porters are the beers that get coffee flavored.

I'm not a fan of the taste myself but they can have a pretty high ABV% so I'd finish at as well.
