Owner finally got back to me... AFTER posting mine plus the other two bouncers jobs and a bartender job on Craigslist for significantly less than we're making.

I made $15 an hour. He posted the bouncer jobs at minimum wage and bartenders made $13 an hour and he posted them at minimum wage too. Minimum wage up here is $11.50.

What a scumbag.

AND the other bartender/fmr manager just quit.

Why? The owners shorted him $600 on his check and are like denying it. Hrm, me wonders if a call to like the Better Business Bureau or ACLU or another workers group is in order just as a final "fuck you" poison pill on my way out.

I don't have to prove anything at all. Your butt buddy claims loose skin is cured by autophagy with no proof whatsoever and mentions an anecdote about concentration camps. The burden of proof lies on him, and on you if you insist on defending his ass.

Letter to the BBB is not a bad idea. It's not even just a "fuck you" because it's helpful to future people the owner screws.

Tempted to do that for how they short changed my check the last go round too unless they rectify it on the one I'm supposed to get tomorrow.

I think it's lulzy he wants me to wait till the 20th for the ONE shift I worked on the 30th of November since that pay period doesn't pay out till then.

Like dude... Just pay me the $105 minus the tax on this check's go round you putz....

Sounds like he's really short the cash, just be happy you're getting paid lol. A family friend just got screwed out of months of checks and had to go to court twice over it. Major drama, but the owner got creamed.
 
Had an interesting convo with my wife's family who are Italian - and wondering how the black and Hispanic posters on this forum would react to this question:

Would your parents be more accepting of bringing home someone of another race or an atheist?

I think most first world western nations do; but Canada seems to be more lenient overall with sentencing than the US - the fact that this case got dropped from 2nd degree to manslaughter seems baffling to me, but I'm not an expert on law.

Part of me wants to cream this dude as well just for how he's forced out anyone with an ounce of experience to hire his friends.

If it's a first time felony/violent crime that's probably the biggest reason.

I've seen people charged with Rape of a Child 1 as their first ever felony dropped to an Assault 3 with Sexual Motivations. That's a drop from a Class A which is 25-Life to a Class C which is like 5 years max I think in my state. And their attorney was a Public Defender.
