You can’t even buy a bungalow shit hole house for anything less than a million dollars and it will be situated in the ghetto.

It's certainly an exceptionally ugly city for the most part. It may be equally devoid of culture as it is beauty in many places, but others, Kensington Market for example (last time I was there anyway), has plenty of character.
