Pretty sure I have it turned off in my digital camera but AFAIK you just have to turn off your location on a mobile, is that right?

Not an expert, so all of this is dangerous half-knowledge.

On Android, you just go to your camera / camera settings / geo tags (or similar) and disable.

For any given picture, you can also view the file details amd they should contain location if available.

Afaik, PNG files do not contain geolocation.
