I don't get people who are homophobic.

Really? Even if you disagree with them, I think they lay their motivations on the table pretty transparently. While some may be grappling with their own sexual insecurity, I think most are just victims of wanting the world to make the most sense to them. And, since they are not attracted to members of the same sex and cannot understand being attracted to them, it's easier for them to conceptualize persons who are as deviants, or attention-seekers, or persons with some ulterior motive. Even if the explanation would have to be ludicrously complicated to be coherent, it's still basically compatible with a worldview that is easier to understand for that person. It's the same reason why racism and xenophobia persist: it's easier to understand that black people are violent and Muslims are evil, etc. than it is to understand densely complicated reasons for racial and ethnic disparities.

I never really understood what people got from it. Clearly not humor. Vague moral lessons?

There was a time when it was good, but it's a small portion of its total run. I thought that the same thing, but people I admired (like the great Bill Watterson) cited it as an influence so I looked into it, and that's what it is.

Or maybe it just makes a guy sick to imagine another guys tongue in his mouth?

I don’t mind gay people because they are gay. I just can’t stand gay people that go out of their way to let you know they are gay.
I'm not saying you're like gay bait, but the fact that you're distinguished and handsome is going to attract some "let you know" gays.

And I hope they troll the shit out of you irl lol

When Stevie Nicks was writing/ recording "Stand Back" she contacted Prince because the song was inspired by "Little Red Corvette" and she wanted him to listen to it first. Nobody gets ahold of Prince directly, you always had to go through at least 1 person who would relay the message to him. He responded to her right away and told her; 'hey, I'm here in L.A. I'm on my way over'.

He got to the studio listened to it raw, then recorded the keyboard track that you hear on the released version and bounced.

Like. A. Fucking. Boss.
Fucking awesome.

Just to be clear, we are all down with hot chicks kissing and sexing it up for our entertainment, as long as that is what they want to do of course?
