We bought our Christmas tree this weekend and the dude selling the tree was like "This one is about 7 and a half feet tall" when the tree was only like 2-3 inches taller than me.

My wife went to correct him but he was a manlet so I stopped her and explained that to him the tree might as well have been 100 feet tall.

He had no frame of reference and standing next to that 6'5" tree and pretending it was 7'6" probably made him feel normal... if just for a moment.

But that's life isn't it? Just a series of moments.
