But they do. And they're additionally dangerous because they're inside big heavy things and the others aren't. They need to be held to the higher standard, not excused as reacting to pedestrians and cyclists slowing traffic. Do you really want to argue with any of that?

Average or whatever, I have no idea; shitty selfish people are shitty selfish people, no matter the mode of transportation. But there's only one kind of shitty people controlling large heavy machinery moving at (relatively) high speeds and that's motor vehicle drivers.
