Not even sure this is dishonesty or a truly frivolous charge (by SDW), as that would presuppose awareness. Seems like a classical case of what we recently discussed here: right-wingers ignoring data in favor of episodic/anecdotical evidence.
To be clear, I'm saying that the charge against me is frivolous (I think that his misdirection tactic was sleazy but I'm not discussing his honesty). There's a question (and it's an issue that's been on my radar for a while), I look up the answer, and I believe what the data I found shows, but I'm accused of dishonesty because someone else doesn't believe the data. As for your last sentence, that is 100% correct.
