I need to reread Che:A Revolutionary Life by Jon Lee Anderson again. He's still a massive icon in Zapatista territory. I think a lot of flack he gets is usually from his closeness to Fidel, despite still living humbly and his actions during the transition from the Batista to Castro regime. Granted I'm a bit more fuzzy than I once was when I could ramble off his entire life story off the top of my head when I was a teenager.I don't think Che is particularly controversial, either. There's a reason he's the patron saint of modern leftism. His gravest sin is, what, not fighting for speech rights during the provisional government? Not resisting popular demands and intervening on behalf on traitors in the revolutionary trials?
I just started with a post about money being lost if all student debt is forgiven. I may have chose the wrong word (would've replaced college with fed/private institutes) but the initial point remains. Then had a mini debate with Jack, established that I was right about the federal government losing money because "they'll make a little less revenue for a long period of time." Then @Tycho Brah tells me to stop, and the tribe starts liking posts. What is going on here

I agree that a whole page of that is annoying, but I was really just trying to get Jack to say how total student loan forgiveness may not be viable. Or at the very least, was trying to get him to admit that we'd lose money. Then it turned into me asking them to explain how I was wrong...either way, I guess dumping on @Social Distance Warrior or reading about how weird @tonni is is better entertainment.I try to be careful with even my likes for this reason but I failed a bit here. My like wasn’t to somehow put you down but somewhat agree I was bored of that exchange. You shouldn’t take it as an attack from me.

Which makes me curious, Rage Against the Machine showcased leftist ideology and imagery on a mass scale. What would this generations version of RATM be? I was thinking Run The Jewels based on lyrics and popularity in the mainstream.

He meant that he tries not to like certain posts incase someone thinks he has a biaslol do you have a like limit?

Anyways, have a good night Leadster.
And I believe the cost would be too much for the feds to pull the trigger on. I'm not arguing that i'm against it - I'm *for* everything on that list. It's a matter of practicality. It is viable. Any stimulus program would cost the gov't money, either through direct spending or lost revenue.
He meant that he tries not to like certain posts incase someone thinks he has a biasLike how people are shitting on @irish_thug lately.
It's crazy how people are with likes but it is understandable. There's a couple creeps in this lounge who watch who likes who's posts and they talk about it in private. I've made a point of liking every single post in the lounge for a while now.
OK. Like I said, I think it happens if Republicans stonewall any stimulus, and possibly still happens if they don't.

Do I get extra points for prompting likes that lead to self-resentment?
