War Room Lounge v183: I am so fortunate I feel bad that I'm depressed

Two of those are actually awesome. "The goodfighter" might be nice.
The best nicknames are the ones that come to actually function as nicknames; Jacare, Shogun, Rampage, Cro Cop, Cub etc.

After that I think ones that have some kind of special meaning or interesting story. Like when BJ Penn fought Florian and Rogan said something like "his nickname isn't like the Monster or Pitbull, he really is a prodigy"

I also like ones that come before the fighters name rather than in between the first and last like "Ruthless" Robbie Lawler or "The Notorious" Conor McGregor.

Speaking of fighters that don't have nicknames the Diaz bros come to mind. I can imagine someone trying to suggest a nickname for them and them reacting like "Huh? Nah that's dumb"

Luke Rockhold doesn't have one either, for the better since I think his name has a nice ring to it on its own. Neither does Jon Fitch

You know what fair enough, he did. When you have 25 million instagram followers and ya say that shit, you gotta figure at least a few of his nutjob Dagestani followers might get some bad ideas
Same. Can hear the punches land better.

Psst...A lot of people don't realize it but...sound is the best part of violence...
Yeah exactly, plus you can hear the corners and you can hear the fighters talking to each other

Crowds are annoying, except the polite Japanese crowd.

Yeah but their politeness is really irritating.
If you think that's irritating, what do you think of the drunken American dudebros shouting ultra-dumb dudebro shit to break the respectful semi-silence?

I was lucky enough to go to a UFC show on my first trip to Japan and it was great. You could hear the action in the cage from where we were sitting because it was relatively quiet. There was an audible smack when Hunto broke poor ill-beset Stephan Struve's jaw. The only unpleasantness came from drunk shitheads.

Having said all that, I presume you're taking the piss. I mean, who doesn't enjoy their restrained but joyfully happy enthusiasm for mayhem and violence?
