Dude this year was the best in 10 years. More people giving out more candy than in many years. There were 10 houses where people had bonfires with tables and full candy bars, and one guy gave me a little bottle of cinnamon whiskey. More adults and kids out than in years.

I'd say Jack Hermansson, but he just lost to Cannonier two fights ago. Everyone else in the top 10 is roughly in the same boat. Whittaker is the only logical fight right now.

Depends on what you're going for. I'm a fan of a small touch of five spice, but cumin is so underutilized these days. If you're doing ramen it comes down to a solid bonito broth. Check out the Momofuku cookbook. It's incredible.

Yeah, so much of Japanese food is about the dashi. Tonight, my wife made this squid dish that was incredible. The first thing I smelled when I got home from work was the dashi simmering on the stove and it was amazing.

Lights were off but it was definitely a little depressing stepping out for a smoke and seeing almost no kids out. Usually the neighborhood is popping off with kids doing the Halloween thing.
