If he has the option, I would think he’d want a spot in the administration compared to the risk of losing an election at least two years down the road. Not sure when governor and senate seats are up for grabs there but two years is a lot to wait if the goal is to build his resume. Maybe he won’t have a choice but like you said, he’s surpassed Castro in terms of recognition and national popularity it seems. I don’t see how he doesn’t get offered some type of role.
I think DNC chair was thrown around at one point too since he tried in the past.
