Happened to me with my cat growing up. That’s how I learned not to chase him under the table. That’s why you always have pit bulls mauling little kids. They react the same way your lab reacted, except they were literally bred to bite hard.

And they don't let go.

@Kaliph of Kush @Andy Capp

I do get where you're coming from though.

My cousin had dog that seemed like the sweetest dog ever.... But when they had a kid he hurt the dog somehow as a toddler and the dog bit him and it caused a serious bleed which resulted in a serious hospital stay.

Obviously as a result they got rid of the dog (a friend adopted) but they are still animals that don't truly understand their actions. And this wasn't a pit-bull mix, just some mutt that reacted to a toddler causing harm.

So I completely understand people being scared of big dogs.

Probably yanking at the dog's ears or tail.

Some dogs really hate when people grab their paws too. Not sure if its a breed thing or not though.

I've heard another thing they don't like is the hugs to the neck where someone will put the side of their head to the side of the dogs head, it's seen as a threat. I've had a dog try to bite me once when I hugged it like that, never again.

Pitbulls don't "gnash", they just grab, which can be awful, but a German Sheppard attack can be even worse since they'll gnash with their ridiculous bite force and literally chew up an entire arm or leg.

Both can be super dangerous. Other breeds as well.

That would be scary if they bite your face.

@Yehudim lmao

I'm at work on the PC and one of my Russian colleagues just walked up behind me and said "Wow Mao Zedong!" at your av. He seemed almost excited. I'm dying over here.
Lol I’ve gotten a lot of reaction to this avatar, I just think Mao is an interesting person and that portrait in particular is iconic. I think the reactions it gets speaks for itself.

Thats Chairman Mao Zedong, to you good sir.

Reminds me of arguably the greatest MMA moment for those into politics when Jeff Monson walked out to the old soviet anthem in Russia with Putin in attendance. Everyone stood but looked uncomfortable as if they weren't sure what they were doing was right lol.

Well, not everyone can be so lucky, but don't let it stop you from living your best life.
I just don't think that out of country buyers is the problem , they cracked down on foreign buyers and air BnB in Vancouver and Victoria , prices have barely moved .

Full disclosure I was definitely adversely affected so I am a bit biased

This is raising even more questions. I'll let the accountants here handle it in depth, but what you're saying is not true. You can't get around contribution limits for a 401k by having multiple accounts (you can have multiple accounts, but the contribution limit applies to all of them combined). 401a plans aren't what we're talking about (Biden's proposed change doesn't affect that), and I'm pretty sure you can't have both a 401a and a 401k (I think you can have a 401a and a 403b).
He appears to be a lot less competent at lying about understanding taxes than he is lying about being a doctor lol

FDR was definitely an authoritarian, but not a fascist. I feel like we are playing with definitions a bit, and of course I was being cute as well- the term fascist didn't exist until 1915, and the idea didn't even really germinate until Sorrel's ideas hit Action Francaise which was later in the 19th century. Its kind of funny, I suppose, to mess with people's historical illiteracy on these matters. But the sticky definitions always come back about left and right. We are still living in the French revolution.

An interesting counterfactual: if Hitler had a stroke and died in June of 1939, would he be remembered as a right wing maniac? Plenty of left wingers were anti-semetic up to that point, including the grandfather of French anarchism, Proudhon.

Well, political terms are always fluctuating and subject to the whims of the climate they're being used. So we can "but actually" until the cows come home for just about ANY term of political discourse: democracy, freedom, capitalism, socialism, left, right, dictatorship, etc.

It's just a matter of stating your case, being honest, and hoping your audience is honest as well.

If Hitler dies in 1939 I'm pretty sure he doesn't become THE face of evil in the West, but he's certainly a right-wing despotic criminal. He was already persecuting Jews during the 30s and had fully embraced lebensbraum.

And yeah, left wingers have had anti-semitic statements since at least Marx, that's nothing new. They ARE European, after all. The big difference is that persecution and execution based on race/ethnicity has been almost exclusively a right-wing thing. You could even argue it's been THE right-wing thing during the 20th century.

I had just woken up. Thankfully Captain Pedantic is always there to point out my mistakes. Although I kind of like the idea of him being tired of dogs, metaphorically speaking of course.
Well, you know what they say, bitches be cray-cray.

And I might always be "there" but I am not interested in a new job, thanks. This was a one-off, don't worry.

Dude please

I like dogs.

But strange dogs who I don't know the owners or that are just out roaming. They still worry me.

I still go up to "strangers” and pet their dogs. I don’t know how to be afraid of them.

They probably think you are a fellow dog.

So it's a sarcastic av

So, ho many progressives do you think have gone scorched Earth, medium red pilled, like @skysolo?
