Shogun is one of the great what ifs in MMA history. If not for injuries, he'd undoubtedly be in the debate for GOAT.

He had it all. Great boxing, heavy leg kicks, great jiu jitsu, great GnP, iron jaw, unbelievable heart. His wrestling was the weakest part of his game. I almost cried when he lost to Forrest's goofy ass.

The very highest white proportion was 89-90% for a few years in the 1920s after the massive migration from third world European countries had ended. Before that, it hovered in the 80s. In colonial times it was down to 75%.

When it comes to culture and power yeah, it was 95%+ white until 1965.

3.1. Randy dropping Sylvia in round 1

I was there for Franklin's fight with Jason MacDonald. Cageside. Got there Thursday, bounced around in the cage with Anderson Silva because he was there doing meet and greet for the UFC Fight Pass. I'm 20 too heavy sitting here but was a pretty good 212-215ish at 6' then. He fucking DWARFED me and was clearly 230 if he weighed an ounce. A very large, supreme athlete. 185-pound champ. lol
That was the biggest MMA event in US history to date (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_68) and when Randy dropped him I swear to God you would have thought the ceiling was coming in on the place. Electric doesn't even begin to describe it. And it stayed that way.
The only thing I can compare to it is the Home Run Derby in 2015 here where Todd Frazier of the Reds won in Cincinnati. That was the same. Place dead-full, not one person not up and cheering at the top of their lungs. Insane. Prolonged period of it, too. Both times.
People all over hugging and high-fiving one another. Hugging people they don't know! lol
All is right with the world type of moments.
