They aren't as much fun when your game consists mostly of those and not so many of the murderdeathkill ones.
Had a game like that last night in Siege with my friends were all of us were like “dude, we just got steamrolled”..... like 4 matches in a row it was brutal

Found a little guy in the garage getting cozy and had to pick him up and put him back outside.

Probably should have left him in the garage to keep the mice out.

My wife would never deliberately allow me to come to harm if she had any say, except she would stab me in the chest in a heartbeat if it was to save her from having to deal directly with a snake, even for a moment.

But I think they're cool AF.

Makes me think of this -

But it does seem to be, according to you, half your workforce?

Alright maybe I'm all hyperbole or exaggeration because I was annoyed lol, but lets say a quarter, or 1/4. That's probably more realistic. I just wish if anything it could be more kept to themselves and grind out what needs to be done, and move on when they can move on.

Nobody grows up wanting to be an accountant.

That's not to say all accountants hate there jobs (but, yeah we do).

That's why it has solid pay and there is opportunity to advance just by the fact that it's a large profession that nobody wants to do it.

But if those 2 things don't do it for you.... you probably got a some staff that are just grinding it out because they have student loans.... maybe student loan forgiveness would give you better staff

This has some good points. I guess I see it as why DID we take this type of job right? Was it not for the career potential? It's not like we signed up to be rockstars or something, so the expectations aren't really outside of what was already expected. But yet some of the people are still upset about the very job and company they fought so hard to be a part of. At least work and complain, but don't complain about what else you should be doing. Then go do it!

I'll take the student loan forgiveness as soon as I get my responsibly paid loan credit included in the plan. Call Biden and tell him MMA has requested this for a vote.

I work in STEM. I've got flexible office hours, can work from home when I want, get a raise every year, pension, benefits, a month of vacation, etc...

I would rather be at home building some new handrails for the deck or working in the garden, or brewing some cider, or just about anything really.

This is fair lol. I hear ya.

Kinda makes sense to me because based on my experience a lot of time people do not understand why they feel the way they do. We're dealing with humans who tend to "feel" first then attempt to rationalize post hoc.

Of course there are people with legit reasons why they despise their job or boss.

But really i think it all just comes down to us as a species not being meant to work all the hours we do at something that we often can't really see the direct benefit from.

I mean if I worked 10 hours on a farm and fed my family and community with that food I would probably have a better sense of worth and meaning.

Yea it could be that right. Like give some one 95% of the jobs, and eventually they'll will begin to dislike it due to the commitments and obligations around work. I think that is maybe more likely than just, yea, almost every job sucks. But then again, lotto winners mostly become unhappy too, so maybe it's just a humans gonna human hashtag.

Youtube recommendations absolutely fucking suck.

I'm so tired of being recommended the same 10 videos no matter what video I watch. Who designed something so stupid? I curse them

I mean, maybe if I was working to try and cure cancer or something I would have some pride in my work and find some satisfaction in it.

Otherwise, its just the rich capitalist vampires feeding off the hours of my life to get even richer.

There's nothing wrong with Tombstone at all. Tombstone was a great movie, and has enough memorable characters to be very re-watchable.

The Good, the bad, and the ugly is a classic obviously, and definitely in my top 5. Open Range is another great choice with really good acting from Robert Duvall and Kevin Costner (who I like, but wouldn't typically compliment his acting chops).

When I was a kid, I thought that movie was hilarious. When he shoots the guy with a shotgun loaded up with dimes?

Out of respect to others we should take this convo to the lounge.

But yea, a good western is like a good horror film, rare..very rare

The "leaders" in this country never fail at creating a reason for war.

The president's former gardener stubbed his toe today. So no middle eastern country with oil that's not Saudi Arabia better make us mad.

@Trotsky Philadelphia firefighters are picketing their own union for endorsing Trump.

Apparently the Local Union does not typically endorse national candidates, instead they leave that to the national body and they concentrate on local policitics.

The head of the Philly Union is a huge Trump guy though. So he sent an email to half of the 4,700 firefighters and 500 responded to the survey and he used that as a reason to officially endorse Trump.

A complete shit show.
