They claim not to be and admit non-whites into their ranks but they also engage in some old school WN dog whistling. At that point is the fact that they focus on "Muh Western values!" over race even that important?

Their Venn diagram overlaps with white nationalist hogwash to such an extent that it's basically just a single circle. Keep in mind that white nationalist groups will be the first to yell that they aren't actually racist and are, in fact, encompassing of all people.

Kinda puts a damper on the whole white supremacist narrative.

If someone is to going to claim an organization is white supremacist, wn, racist or whatever then you need to show actual policies within that organization that directly reflect the ideology you claim they subscribe to.

Because having Asians, Samoans, Hispanics and Blacks in Proud Boys really doesn't give credence to those claims.

The people mocking the assertion by intelligence and law enforcement that white supremacists are such a great threat, they never seem to consider that those law enforcement and intelligence agencies aren't going by their public-face comments, but are deeper in their groups, going by the threats they uncover in their private correspondence, or that they witness in person, undercover. Seems obvious, but we're so superficially partisan right now that something as simple as this tends to escape people when they're e-valuating these things.
