Are you under the impression milk is good for you ?

I have been fully psyopped by the dairy-industrial complex.

But no, I don't even drink milk, I just probably couldn't live without butter and cream.

Animal rights is a distant third on the list of of the main three reasons for cutting out or at least way back on meat and dairy , the first is the environment and the second health .

I'm not trying to be perfect , just better.

The ethical notion of animal exploitation is the biggest for me. The environment is second, and health is a very very distant third.

Sure.

It's still blatant exploitation, though. I'm not arguing that animals should be exploited more humanely, I'm arguing that they shouldn't be exploited at all.

Is this a denial of the hierarchy of life, or a belief that animals should own their means of production?

Do you think that it's wrong for us to eat non fertilized chicken eggs because "they didn't consent" ? I've had chickens for about 15 years now, and they lay a million eggs that would otherwise go to waste, or be eaten by them for protein when they are brooding.

I have a more accepting view of people who hunt for their own food. I would say that if you have your own chickens that are taken care of in a non-factor manner, then I would definitely be more accepting of that over commercially farmed eggs.

It's an insistence that I would prefer to do the least harmful thing in most circumstances. As a consumer with easy access to alternatives, that includes veganism.

Connor supposedly agreeing to fight Diego Sanchez?

Is Connor that desperate for a bearable opponent?

Not a Conor fan by any means, but he'd be doing Sanchez a huge favour in terms of a high note (and pay day) to go out on.

My chickens are very spoiled.

I hate horse riding (and animal exploitation in any form) so badly that I lost a chance at the most attractive woman who has ever been into me.

We were talking about veganism, and other shit, for hours. We ended up back at her place, and I was more than ready to disappoint her. But then I saw pictures all over the place of her riding horses and my heart worked harder than my dick, and I ended up lecturing her on exploitation and how it's insufferable that she calls herself vegan while exploiting horses for her own joy and entertainment.

We never talked again.

Jesus Christ.

I would have lived off their wings. You poor soul not knowing what you were missing.

Chicken was one of the first meats I stopped eating. Basically anything with bones because there was no denying what it was.

Sure you could , seven years ago I wasn't even on board with meatless Monday dinner lol , I was Mr Grill . Now I only have meat occasionally out of convenience , I don't miss it .

And dairy , I used to drink alot milk, and eat a ton of cheese , now the idea of it is pretty fecking gross to me, the idea of breast feeding from a cow is repugnant ( that's essentially what you're doing drinking milk ) we ween for a reason .

Meat and dairy taste great but they aren't good for you and our overconsumption of it isn't sustainable.

Was debating making this a thread but it won't have any traction. You'll have the boot lickers and then a bunch of "all cops must die" assholes bickering again.

Miranda Rights. If you're an American you've likely heard OF them, and seen parts of them said on TV shows at some point. I'm sure Canadians and other nations have versions of this.

That said... CAN SOMEONE who is drunk actually be Mirandized? You can't give consent for sex (in most places) if you are intoxicated.... so can you confirm you actually heard and understood those rights as read to you?

@Trotsky @panamaican @Quipling @irish_thug thoughts?

That would be determined on a case by case basis I would assume.

In Canada you have a right to council.

See, in the US it's (cliff notes version)
- Right to remain silent
- If you do not stay silent anything you say can be used against you
- Right to counsel
- If you cannot afford counsel you can receive counsel (they don't tell you that sometimes you have to pay for the PD later)
- You can request to stop questioning any time you wish
- You can request an attorney to appear for you during questioning

Now, if someone lows at .15 and can't stand up straight... can they consent, legally, to a search? Yeah, they can mumble something about understanding their rights while they sway there on the side of the road but is that real consent?

I'm sorry, I can't fucking help it.

It also admittedly says something that lactose intolerance is one of the more common dietary allergies and I think THE most common adult onset dietary allergies.
