We've genetically modified pretty much all the meat, eggs, and dairy that we (as a society) consume.

Those animals still suffer our abuse (and no, I will not frame it as anything other than abuse) for nothing other than our tastebuds. Couldn't be me, bro.

Wholeheartedly agree.

I think you'd admit that keeping traditional pasture dairy cows is different than how milk and butter is made today.

Real estate is why I left.

It's a great reason to leave if you've owned a place there for over 10 years...you'd make a huge profit.

Sell your renovated tiny 3 bedroom, no driveway, semi detached house for a million bucks and buy a mansion for half of that a few hours away.

Sure.

It's still blatant exploitation, though. I'm not arguing that animals should be exploited more humanely, I'm arguing that they shouldn't be exploited at all.

The Royal Tennenbaums is one my favourite movies , it's one of the few movies I can watch repeatedly , great film.
It's almost impossible to put into words how good it is. An absolute masterpiece.

Think I'll give it a rewatch today.

Absolutely incredible.

So many iconic scenes start to finish.

Also if you haven't seen Honey Boy I highly recommend it. "the only thing of any value my father gave me was pain, and you want to take that away from me?" Shia is a surprisingly good writer.

I think veganism is a bit silly, since we've genetically engineered cows to overproduce milk over millennia, but I definitely understand the impulse of not wanting to inflict unnecessary suffering on animals.
Are you under the impression milk is good for you ?

Do you think that it's wrong for us to eat non fertilized chicken eggs because "they didn't consent" ? I've had chickens for about 15 years now, and they lay a million eggs that would otherwise go to waste, or be eaten by them for protein when they are brooding.

Elliott Smith was great. Top 3 for me.

Connor supposedly agreeing to fight Diego Sanchez?

Is Connor that desperate for a bearable opponent?

Animal rights is a distant third on the list of of the main three reasons for cutting out or at least way back on meat and dairy , the first is the environment and the second health .

I'm not trying to be perfect , just better.
