Any preference on caliber?

Do you want a pistol or a long gun? What's your State's regs about what you can and can't own?

What do you intend to use the gun for?
I'm from Indiana but I want a long gun. Just for thr firing range near my home.

Do you want to do like JUST precision bench type shooting or be able to take it out and say use it for varmint hunting (like coyotes)?

If you want one that could be fun on the bench and just out and about doing shit I would look at like an AR15 from like BCM if you can afford it or Daniel Defense. Both of these will be in excess of $1000 but are well worth it.

If all you want is a bench gun I would suggest either an AR in a .308 platform with a like 18" barrel or something similar in .223 or 5.56 with a long barrel as well.

just bench type shooting. I don't hunt. I just fish and fillet fish. I don't think I could kill a coyote or any other type of animal except a fish

I'd suggest looking into an 18" barrel on a like .308 AR-10 or a 6.5 Creedmoor one.

But if all you want to do is bench shooting and you'd like to buy factory I'd honestly suggest shying away from semi-auto and grabbing like a Ruger Precision:
https://ruger.com/products/precisionRifle/models.html

The only danger with jumping into the RPR is you will start bench shooting, then if you're a competitive person you'll try to compete then want to upgrade it and you'll start an addiction to it. lol.

Big thing is you could get a Ruger Precision in .308 for 1500 and then have money left to get a scope. If you try to get a semi-auto that is comparable you're dropping like 2500 and then wouldn't have cash for an optic.

This is of course all dependent on your budget too.

Until the entire WR is green, yes. Yes, we should.
I can't, even when I try right now. Apparently the last time I used PayPal was over a decade ago, and everything connected with the same email address I've always had is outdated. So if I used an old card back then, I can't even pay as a guest now. All it wants to do is text a phone number I don't have anymore, so I'm having to explain to tech support the situation. They seem clueless.
"Dianne - You can still make a guest purchase.

Dippy -
I am trying to, but my email is still linked to everything that is outdated, so I can't use my new card.

I don't want to make a new email just for a purchase. And I can't login to my account because I can't remember the password, but whenever I try to reset it, it only wants to text a very old number. Doesn't give me another other options.

I'd like it to send me an email confirmation to reset my password so that I can un-link the old card

Dianne - I'm sorry but I still can't pull up anything. As much as I'd like to help you, I do not have the option to reset your password. You may create a new PayPal account using a different email address and link your new card there instead."

ugh. Thanks, Dianne.

@Sickness1 if you want to really get into precision shooting the "king" of that realm right now for round is the 6.5 Creedmoor. Thing shoots super straight and barely gets hit by wind drift and shit.

ugh. Thanks, Dianne.

I never plan on changing my number. Sounds like it would cause too much hassle for two way authentication. Phones have pretty much become societies main way of securing identity now.

Have you always been a gun guy?
I grew up around them?....

I didn't get "into" them till I was almost 22-23. My dad took me shooting once a week after school at the rifle range from the time I was like 12-15/16 shooting anything ranging from a .22 LR lever action Marlin on up to his .300 Winchester Magnum.

I only started getting "into" them when I started finding out about things like 3 Gun shooting and precision bench shooting stuff which I want to try to get into sometime next summer once my life has calmed down some.

I believe they were enslaved in Africa but not completely sure. They chose the Hebrews because...they could. They couldnt just enslave Africans en masse like they could Hebrews. It helped that the Africans were confederate in this endeavor. Also, its Biblical prophecy so I imagine the Most High put it in their hearts to plot, plan, and eventually come after us.

Yes they migrated there after the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD. They also migrated into southern Africa as well as north western Europe. So called negros were the dominant population in Western Europe until the 17th century. That is when they got overthrown and shipped to the islands and to Americas.

Wait, so the majority of the general population was black? Or just the ruling kings?

If it was the majority of the population, is there any historical account of a mass wave of black Hebrews migrating into western Europe? I would think a move that turned the population from 100% white to less than 50% would be huge news.

I don't know of any religions that teach adherence to the statutes, laws, and commandments listed in the Bible. I really don't think its any more complicated than that.

I dont follow any leaders and I personally would stay away from any church that runs on Sunday. As far as the correct book I would recommend the Apochrypha along with the old and new testement. The Apocrypha are the books that the Romans removed. Once you read the Apocrypha then you understand why they did that.

Surely Christianity teaches adherence to the Bible, doesn't it?

Speaking of, how does Jesus fit in here? Usurper and impostor for claiming to be the Messiah? Or misunderstood/confused Hebrew? If he's not the Messiah, wouldn't reading the New Testament be heretical, or at least a waste of time?
