I'm not on some mission to disparage JLH but she seems very oddly proportioned, and that's more than a little weight. To me she looks like a perfect fit for the inside of a 70s Godzilla suit. Her hands and head don't look right for her body to me. I like women whose head is bigger than their neck. She probably was unhealthy trying to maintain a thinner appearance in her early career though, I agree.

OK your opinion on @The ScorpioN is noted but I never got the impression that our exchange was anything with any political depth, just a goof.

If you want to delve into it deeper though, I would say there is little to no doubt that a politician's (or any person's for that matter) success is affected by their physical attractiveness. It's definitely a significant component of human nature.
No comment on the particular example, but I'm very picky about proportions myself, so I get it.

I'm in real estate in Charlotte NC and I think affordable housing is a serious problem in society today, certainly in my area. I get so many clients who have done everything right and because they are just starting out I can't find anything but hovels in their price range, I hate it. It's fucked up to me that in the wealthiest nation on earth people willing to work can't afford a good home, not a mansion, just a good home.

Weird spot for the US right now I think. Economic disparity is historically not a recipe for success.

Yup. The math just doesn't add up. Houses too expensive, wages too low.

I have one friend who's been on her own since 18 and has a house and is doing well but she has an MBA and is very accomplished. Can't expect everyone, or even most, to be the same.

Not sure why you tagged me since I have no kids, but my belief, and I think the science backs me up, is that for some it's not all that hard at all (relative to, say, childbirth or carrying for 9 months) while for others it's going to be nigh onto impossible and that there are so many factors that determine the result that for all intents and purposes it's not under any particular mother's control.

I'd say that about 20% of girls who were hot in my HS still look good in their early 40s. Definitely not impossible but not the rule.

Ed: Of course, standards change when you get older. As a 20 year-old, you might tell your friends you met someone, and she has great skin and is callipygian AF, but later, it's like, "she looks like she gets down."
A fellow lover of the classics I see. The Venus Callipyge for those who don’t know is the Venus of the beautiful buttocks.

@kpt018 Cruz and Rick Scott tried to defend Marco...... and a thread ensued

Funny story , in about 81 my dad and went on a fishing trip up Vancouver Island , we were a small fishing town , we go for lunch in this little diner and this extremely large waitress comes over , she recognized my dad , it appeared to take him a second to place her but then exchange pleasantries , she takes are order and walks away and he has a strange puzzled look on his face , after a minute I ask him what's wrong , he says " she was the prettiest girl in high school , we dated for awhile " I'm guessing he was thinking he dodged a bullet, my dad was farm from verbose so that was all I got .

She only would have been about 32 , and this was most definitely not one of those situations where she was large but still relatively pretty .

So I just discovered the "Daily Dose of Internet" channel...

Hours of content. Always fresh and interesting. Agenda free. What a breath of fresh air. No wonder this dude averages 5M views a video.

Is it ok to ask what happened to the stickied meme thread? (I’m not a War Room regular, just an occasional meme harvester.)

We can't all person, place, thing or Keyser Soze our way thru an interview.

That's going into the ol' vocab, for sure. One wonders where one might otherwise encounter such a term, mind.
