There used to be video and video game rental stores nationwide. Blockbuster Video bought them all out including all of the independent family owned stores nationwide and became the only video rental store nationwide then went out of business a few years later leading to the end of video rental.

This is literally what happened and it is kind of funny and sad at the same time. Its like if McDonalds bought every Taco Bell, BK, etc and then just went out of business and then fast food is gone.

I'm aware of the process and outcome, but thanks for the succinct analysis.

While I agree, to help muddy the waters a little, the Tienanmen square comments came less than a year after the actual masacre.
