I always bought into the personal safety argument because I remember staying in towns in PA that didn't have a police force. They relied on the State Troopers responding.

I guess it was 26 years ago now and 911 technology has gotten much better but it happened when I was a kid and the surviving kids used to go around lecturing high schools on the dangers of rumors, vigilantism and mob justice.

The second Purge movie felt like the producers and director trying to make a Punisher movie without paying Marvel for the license.

When I heard they were bringing in Castle for Daredevil Season 2 I was really hopeful Grillo would get the role but then he became Crossbones in the main line Marvel stuff.

Bernthal I wasn’t sold on but now it’s hard to imagine someone else playing the character.

Yeah he really was the perfect Punisher and I wasn't sold on him whatsoever. At first I thought it was a horrible casting choice but he ended up being perfect.

I actually enjoyed the last Avengers movies a lot and went back and rewatched all the Marvel stuff after Part 1 but before that I really only liked Logan, The Punisher, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

I prefer GotG to just about everything though. My favorite comic book movies (and non horror sci fi) by a mile.

Of the movies the Guardians movies and Ragnarok are my favorites.

and agreed on Bernthal. Apparently he MIGHT make an appearance in some Moon Knight episodes as Castle as Punisher isn’t under the same contractual “non use” policy as the other Marvel Netflix characters.

Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and the other ones can’t be used for like 4 years after the Netflix shows end. Punisher and everyone related to his shows aren’t under that same policy, apparently the wording was left out of their contracts.
