I have a soft spot for conspiracy theories (as in I generally find them goofy and fun), but if you don't think the US government disappears folks, you're dead wrong.

You're agreeing with me but phrasing this comment like it contradicts me so I'd ask you to clarify the reason for that, just for my edification. I have been committed to avoid stepping foot in the US ever since the Patriot Act was passed for that very reason. It allows the government to disappear any non-citizen. That they would take it further to include "accidentally" disappearing citizens is no stretch at all in my mind.
