So glad I saw the show going to shit back in Season 2 and got off that train. Tried the books, but the writing (especially the dialogue) was teen mystery novel-level.

I found GRRM writing 1st person chapters from the perspective of a young 14-16 year old Daenarys in sex scenes and him going into detail about her sexual thoughts as a bit creepy. And these scenes are often

You ever trained any fighting arts? If you haven't and you want self defense, take up Boxing. There is nothing better than a medium ranged striking art with fast powerful strikes from all angles while maintaining balance so you don't get taken to the floor as easily as with kicking. Also boxing will make you tough as you'll spar, and get used to flinches, feints and lots of hard shots coming your way. You'll likely meet a lot of thugs and tough assholes in a boxing gym too, this isn't a dojo.

Boxing as a stand alone fighting style cant be praised enough. Plus MT hands are meh.....

I would ask you report it. That’s how the process is suppose to work instead of this new lounge trend of not pointing it out to mods at all, coming into the lounge, and talking about how those posts must be allowed since they are up. I’m not pinning this on you but there is way too much complaining in here about posts that should be moderated when they aren’t even reported. It makes zero sense why it’s happening if posters actually want things addressed. The lounge isn’t a report queue. Of course you can discuss those posts and how awful they are here but you’re missing a key function when you don’t report it.

Please report it at the very least before pointing to a double standard when moderation didn’t even get a chance to address it.

Does anyone know of a good calculator to compare tax burden married filing jointly vs marrried filing seperatly, specifically with a kid (dependent deduction) now?

I found this site which spits out one answer https://tpc-marriage-calculator.urban.org/ , that we'd only save $234 a month filing jointly

But estimating taxes each way on a quickie HR block estimator says we'd save $474 a month which makes things much closer, considering the loan amount forgiven we'd have to pay income taxes on in 15 more years
