On the topic of vulgarity and violence, I'd like to reiterate that my last five cards were for saying "fucking moron" four times (yes, I need to expand my vocabulary) all in the context of larger informative posts and, most recently, for saying I'd like to kick the shit out of a public figure for writing op eds running interference for :eek::eek::eek::eek:philes. The last one I'm okay with more than the first four, to be sure, but still pretty nitpicky.

However, we have *multiple* posts in the Seattle vehicular homicide thread cheering on killing leftists and on-road protesters, including ones saying they "actually enjoyed watching them bitches go flying and probably die" and cheering "Run the cunts over."

And, yeah, I'm being a whiner about this, but only because of uneven enforcement that I and other left wing posters have received.

Acronyms, numbers and letters in parentheses, this stuff is gobbledygook to me. It sounds like an organization that doesn't pay any money to the government is now getting money from the government - because it's a non-profit complaining about loss of profits. Am I missing something or is this a bunch of people running around with handfuls of money screaming "Suckers!" over their shoulder? Assuming that I've got the proper gist, I'll say that this isn't exactly the type of shit that will ingratiate people to Rand and Objectivism. That this is how the ARI is "helping" the Rand/Objectivism "cause" is...unfortunate. This is the type of shit that makes people like Trotsky feel justified in their disdain.

If only there were a super cool academic by day and Sherdog mod by night who was in a position to write a book on Objectivism for a major academic press in the near future that could dispel all the bullshit and actually convince people that Rand's philosophy of Objectivism isn't Kool-Aid for crazy people despite the number of crazy Kool-Aid drinking people who like her/it...

I think I jinxed myself with that last post, because just a few minutes after I posted that I checked my e-mails and saw that, despite both peer reviews of my book proposal recommending publication, the editor feels, upon "reflecting on the reports overnight," that it is necessary to "tread very carefully," so now, after being told that my proposal would be taken forward toward publication, I have been told that I will not only need to defend two green lights but I will need to wait for a third green light. I thought that I'd jumped all the hurdles on the track only to see that they'd extended the track just as I was about to cross the finish line and added a few more hurdles for me to jump.

I guarantee none of the scholars in the business of publishing the thousands upon thousands of books on Marx and communism are having to run the tracks and jump the hurdles that I'm having to run and jump. Damn it, Ayn, why couldn't you have just smiled a little more, cracked a few more jokes? Why'd you have to make so many people hate you so much?

This one is actually consistent with her beliefs rather than a contradiction. Since she regarded Social Security as theft, she regarded collecting it as restitution. The "Social Security=theft" position could be debated, but at least her position was consistent.

Eh, just insecurity amongst some black people manifesting as bigotry. They want to be seen as descendants of Egytian Kings, or Jesus, or being "the real jews", or the "real aztecs". It is weird, delusional and sad. I tend to give a pass rather than get into arguments over it.

It reminds me of Peter Quill pretending his absentee father is David Hassellhoff in the Guardians of the Galaxy.

You'll get the usual argument, "I'm against taxation and government spending, but if it's going to happen I want me and mine to be the ones benefiting from it as much as possible".

Yeah it looks like he's been talking to a member of the Black Hebrew Israelites.

They've been street preaching in Philly for as long as I can remember. Most people just ignore them and go about their day but I remember one time they said something bad about Jesus as an older black dude walked by and he wasn't having it and started counter preaching against them.

They really hate "the fake jews" and say the most evil bigoted black supremacist crap. They were at the heart of that famous incident with white maga hatted kids being accused of bullying a native american elder in public. They were responding to the black isrealites
