That's for kids. To be a real man you have to catch a beaver.

We used to destroy the beaver dams that on the various surrounding rivers and were really raising the water level on the lake my father's land surrounded up north. We used to tell guests that the beavers could attack so be careful.

Looking back it (dam destroying) feels like it was the wrong thing tot do.

They should take away your passport for doing that shit. Beavers are a goddamn national treasure.

It's hard for me to consider it anything but. With all due respect.

Ibjjf has canceled all tourneys so i signed up for agf Phoenix open and looking over ruleset it seems to be the podunk-iest setup ever ... pretty much everything is legal aside from heel hooks and biting.

I'm already up on grappling industries in aug (being old and skinny the round robin format and guarantee of multiple matches is a +).

Dunno why i bothered , arizona is gonna be a dystopian wasteland by the end of this week.

Well it was really a temporary measure to stop the lake level from climbing 3 - 5 feet up the water edge. They all got built back quickly, 30 years later and the water is too low so mother nature wins. A bunch of 10 years going into the back woods with axes and shovels to take apart one of those was as Canadian a memory as it gets. At least was not part of the fur trade (in fact to my part to hinder it later on LOL).

In view of this inevitability, I would consider training with heel hooks and bites.

Just for an idea of how prevalent and persistent malignant misinformation is, I'm amazed that the ponzi scheme/ multi level marketing / pyramid scheme / cult that is OneCoin (fraudulent cryptocurrency) and it's associates (OneLife, DealShaker etc etc) continues to exist.
This despite the founder disappearing off the face of the earth with all the money in October 2017, no actual cryptocurrency existing and the founder's brother being arrested for fraud and money laundering in the US.
It's still operating not only in developing nations, where scammers run rampant due to the lack of regulatory enforcement, but even in Japan and here in Australia.
Ridiculous.

First haircut in months. There is an older man wearing a mask while having his hair cut. I really hope they aren't checking donut licenses here

Even on the right side OANN, Fox, Breitbart and National Review are all on the same level with OANN being the most reliable?

Yeah, Nat Review, which I certainly have no soft feelings toward, being near or lower than rags like Townhall and Judicial Watch? Really just a terrible chart. And the methodology is frankly stupid (a panel of three - one left, one neutral, one right - judging a few articles from each one).

Lounge Lizards, give me your thoughts on this.

I've seen a couple of liberal (i.e. not socialistic or anti-imperialistic, but staunchly pro-choice, anti-Trump, pro-RBG) friends share this chart. Upon further review, it's been shared over 8,000 times.

The X-axis scale itself is dumb. "Most extreme" --> "hyperpartisan" --> "skews" --> "neutral" is not how ideological divides work. For one thing, partisanship is an alternative to ideology rather than a position on any ideological scale. Looks like they're actually trying to do a partisanship rather than ideological scale mostly, though they also work some ideology in there in an incoherent way. Also, yes, it has the bothsidesist assumption that the truth is between what any two groups say it is, rather than what it objectively is.

The other scale is dumb, too. Original fact reporting can be accurate or inaccurate. Opinion journalism can be accurate or inaccurate. Not even clear what that one is trying to measure. I guess it's sort of distinguishing between reporting and commentary, but not in a consistent or coherent way, and the implication that commentary is inherently inaccurate is false.

Buy the dip?

Buy the dip?

There's nothing to dip.
You buy (and sell, as per the usual pyramid scheme) "educational packages" (Scientology style courses) which supposedly will include some amount of a currently non-existent cryptocurrency to be redeemed at an unspecified time in the future.

Yet you could get someone across the aisle to challenge your post with other placements on that chart. Your post about this chart reinforces what I've seen. I've seen this chart or variations of it for years. You mention "both sides", but I've seen "both sides" upset about placements on the chart. I think that proves the chart mostly correct in regards to bias than it does disprove it. Mainly because I can't remember a single liberal or conservative say the opposite in regards to their side when referencing this chart.

I don't think you can even discuss the placement meaningfully because the framework is such a mess. But also, if you accept the possibility that there is truth and right and wrong answers on specific controversies, you see that the very idea that "bias" can be determined by political alignment is wrong. Bias should be measured by where an outlet differs from reality rather than where it differs from the political center. The MSM would all show up as Republican-biased by that measure, I think, because they present a lot of settled issues as matters of controversy and they tend to allow Republicans to set the agenda.
