You guys ever think about this? Take a right triangle, and take any point on the hypotenuse, and then make another right triangle by drawing a line from the hypotenuse to one of the other sides. This will map to one point, and only one point on that side. Similarly, each point on that other side will map to one and only one point on the hypotenuse. But the hypotenuse is longer than the other sides.

That shit bugs me. It's a paradox staring you right in the face every time you look at a triangle.

The pewter jersey is dope. But, I'll never understand why they insist on pairing the pewter pants with the red jersey. The white pants red jersey combo was always my favorite, yet, much like Alstott, under-utilized.

A TRAIN!!!!!

Could you imagine TB practices in that era if you ever had the first teams go against each other... Alstott on one side... this maniac on the other:

As much as I love Lynch, he wasn't the big dog of that defense.

That would be Mr. Derrick Brooks.

And yes, you will call him Mr.

Oh I know it was Brooks but Lynch is the one that always came to mind from that team as the biggest headhunter on the defense. I mean fuck... he toasted his own fucking brother in law and walked off like he didn't just almost put a relative into a coma.

I don’t know who that actor is but I believe that’s Alfred crying at Bruce Wayne’s fake funeral.

Edit- I think your right. I got the wrong guy but it looks close enough.
So its not Jeremy Corbyn?

Good post.

Defunding should only be toward the target of reducing the scope of police responsibilities, if it's that's what people want to do. Like, they shouldn't be Dog Catcher and Social Worker.
I actually agree with that. Toronto has a program where they have a mental health nurse drive around with a road Sgt to address issues like that.

I miss the days when the Tampa 2 was a viable defense and a guy like Lynch could exist just to wreck fools ala Lott or Atwater (that's three fucking great football names, btw). Rule changes have taken that from us, sadly.
And Alstott's lack of use as a primary back was criminal. I liked Dunn as a compliment, and I get trying to give him touches, but then Gruden comes in and starts freaking Michael Pittman and makes Mike a pure blocking fullback. GTFO Chucky!
<3>

(still love you for that Superbowl, though)

I feel like Kam was the last of the true hard hitting banger style safeties in the league.

You're a triangle.

And in other news . . . more cancel culture in full effect . . .

Thank you for the response. And ramble away. God knows my posts here are just musing long winded eyesores.

It's interesting what you say about SWAT. I've seen small down sheriff's use full on MRAPs and military gear for marijuana arrests back when prohibition was in full swing. Something I find dangerous, a waste of taxpayer dollars, and contributing to the idea that the police are at war with the people.

Speaking of police and Katrina. People often forget the sheriff treated the prisoners during the crisis, as well as the cops who opened fire with AKs on civilians trying to flee to the Westbank. Things barely talked about.

NOPD has actually come a long way, from a notoriously racist PD to actually gaining some respect from the people. But there is still an inherent racial bias. Two drunk white tourists picked a fight with a local black kid. Punched him, the police came and tackled the local, handcuffed him and it wasn't until the crowd kept screaming at the LEOs that they realized they had made a mistake.

You illustrated the differences between Hawaii 5-0 and mainland police. Do you agree, or see some merit in my belief that it is the Police who have ruined the trust of the people and that it is on the police to earn it back?
You should be glad you can live on here posting only musing long-winded eyesores. Why, when I was a sprog,

we WISHED we could live on musing long-winded eyesores.

Not a fan of Domino's (Papa John's for pizza and Pizza Hut for wings) but they were a lifesaver in the military.
