I got the email on Thursday for "June 6th reopening" and was counting down. I just left from the gym about a half hour ago. Walking in there was the most "this is home" feeling I've had in a while. Like I legit felt pure awe and happiness walking in, stood there for 10 seconds soaking it in like the stuff you see in movies LOLOL.

It was pretty empty though. For a Saturday morning there were only a few people which made it even better. People are probably still scared to go I guess, but I couldn't wait another second.

We also just elected a progressive DA named Larry Krasner who has been pushing to get rid of cash bail and prosecute corrupt cops. So there is animosity between the police union and the DA.

We also just hired a new police chief from Portland.
