I mean people are much more likely to shitpost with embedded images than to shitpost with hyperlinks to images.
Although I'm somewhat mollified that the memethread and lounge have done a good job of containing shitposting/off topic posting to a degree.
I wouldn't even use the forums if it was like the chans, facebook or twitter.

Mostly Danish heritage actually. At least it was Denmark when my ancestors left, now it's part of Germany.
I'm pretty picky about my communications though. There's a point at which the trade off between convenience and excess noise hits a wall for me. Such as mobile phones.
