I thought you woulda been more into Asatru or Odinism or something.

And in doing so displaying the general lack of IQ and cognitive abilities by police in our country.

Sorry you feel that way. I mean you had the whole Odin av and belt title for a while, not like I was following you around taking notes on your posts.

Same. Until the criminal justice system in this country is completely over hauled from top to bottom, many, myself included, will feel that way. Odin has nothing to do with it in spite of what your lounge friends may tell you.

I’ve done, and will keep doing, what I can in that regard. To do what I think is right within policing. But to change laws and sentencing is not within the power of individual police officers any more than any other citizens. That’s more the realm of politicians and the judiciary.

And no, I wouldn’t think Odin would have anything to do with that. I meant that was made me think you might have been into Odinism or Asatru or some kind of heathenism.

So you are but a slave to the powers that be.
I understand. One has to make a living.

And even if I was into heathenism, so much like the dogs you lay with and get fleas by in the lounge, would that somehow make my points less relevant?

Huh? Lmao, no I never said anything against Odinism or heathenism or paganism. It was just a comment related to your praising Christianity.

Fair enough.

To me Odin, Thor and the like represent attitude. I believe in the biblical god.

So if you had your druthers, would the justice system change? If so, how?

Well to start I would decriminalize drug possession. Increase addiction counseling funding. Harsher sentences for sex abuse crimes and robberies involving violence. Decrease the myriad regulations and fines for regular folk, the stuff I call “chickenshit tags” at work, and give people without the financial means additional opportunities to comply through meaningful community service. I don’t think the criminal justice system should be used to nickel and dime regular people to death.

My basic belief is that people ideally should be self-disciplined, but that our liberty should also be guaranteed by a just system of laws that equally apply to all. How to remove the influence of money and prestige from the criminal justice system is a task a bit above my pea brain though, especially to try to write out at this hour.

Interesting. Libertarian in a lot of ways.

Self discipline, or a lack there of IS liberty, but based on your statements you already know that.

I know in Hawaii things are different in many ways, and you already touched on money, but how do you propose combating the targeting of minorities? Or, do you oppose the unfair minority targeting? It happens, and I have a good idea as to why, but coming from the porkchops mouth what do you say?

Yeah I’ve voted libertarian in the last two presidential elections. I just don’t mind shooting the shit with anybody of any particular political ideology.

As to your question I definitely oppose any unfair targeting due to race. The reasons for why it happens might escape me though, because of my location I really can’t speak to the experiences of racism on the mainland. Of course there’s racism here too, lots of it, but I don’t think it’s ingrained into the criminal justice system out here beyond the economic issues. Polynesians are overrepresented in our jail/prison populations here, more so than Latinos. And there’s almost no significant black population.

I definitely don’t have any insight into race relations on the mainland, either in the criminal justice system or otherwise. Probably every American poster in here would know as much or more than I do.

Yeah, the trouble is that a large amount of crime happens in minority entrenched areas. Are the cops right to patrol these areas, or is it racial profiling?

Personally I don't think there is a wrong or right answer. My question was only to gage you.
Have you ever lived in the lower 48?

Don’t mind @curryjunkie
he’s our jack russel terrier in here. Yap yap yap
Completely harmless though.

I don't judge him. He's just another on my lounge troll list. I do however think his UK heritage is interesting and find some of his replies hilarious :)
