Well since I didn't say anything about 'the Indian subcontinent' in there at all...

Yeah, it's slander. Always trying to attach something racist to everything you can't argue against.

Genuine question: would a reduction in population help or hurt climate efforts?

Genuine question #2: in nature, when the herd is thinned, which members die? The old and sick or the young and strong?

You guys are so weird with your scientism. You dogmatically believe in complex scientific principles you don't even understand because 'scientists said so,' but you reject simple, universal scientific principles as being 'mean' or somehow, 'racist.'

Look up the 'healthy herd hypothesis' if you ever decide to take a break from calling everyone else racist.

Now, who is projecting? I was clear that it was about your stated disinterest in the fate of 10's of millions who will be displaced by human-caused climate change, a large area shared by Bangladesh, Pakistan, and India being a particular example, and that it was due to their being far removed from Calgary, and that further, partisan political spats are sufficient to cause you to decline to apply any impetus toward the effort to combat it. Anyone who gives the slightest toss about this sad debate can just search using our posts above to see for themselves. Racism did not come into it.

I assume since you've stopped threatening to report me and moved the goal posts to ask questions that further demonstrate an apparent absence of empathy, you have no further counter to the post that brought this whine-fest on. I believe the term around here is BTFO.

The answers to your questions lie in the responses of all the governments and individuals to the COVID-19 pandemic, hence the point of my post. This isn't Vulcan. If it was humane to take the cold-hearted logical approach everyone would be doing the same thing as did the British Government initially, nothing. Instead of social isolation, we'd be partying it the fuck up, wouldn't we, and while we're at it hide all the respirators, cause woot we'll trim the herd in no time, right? But we're not--except for a handful of idiots and assholes--are we? Aside from the shitty-arsed hoarders, the response of people in general has been remarkable and heart-warming.

On the other hand, where's all this compassion for the millions upon millions (of people and plants/animals) that could be saved if there were as much a unified effort in the fight against human-caused climate change?

I leave the answer as an exercise for the reader.
